My husband made reservations for my birthday during lunch. The place is small but has a nice layout, very nicely decorated and clean. It was way too cold when we walked in for lunch. The white napkin left so much lint on my black pants after lifting it off my lap. I ordered the pork belly and it was way too chewy and the rice was undercooked so it was hard and dry. The thinly sliced pickled veggies were good and the sauce was good. My husband's burger was too salty and the fries were okay. The brisket egg rolls were a bit chewy too but not too bad in flavor. The blistered green beans were the only part of our meal which we enjoyed. Service was good but nothing special. Overall we left disappointed for the price we paid and we have no desire to return to this restaurant.
This place has a very limited menu. We did not have a reservation so we had to sit outside. I had asked the hostess if there were any open spots at the bar, she said there weren't so we ended up sitting outside. We ordered the blistered green beans which were amazing, had tons of flavor from the sauce it was cooked in and the fried onions. They also do NOT have hot sake here, only cold so just know that before you go. We also ordered the salmon with a side of rice. Tell me why the salmon on the menu said "grilled" but it was half cooked. 😐 I eat sushi frequently so it was not that big of a deal, but if you don't eat raw fish and order grilled salmon, expect it to be half cooked. The basil sauce was also a little too salty and portion sizes were small. The food came out pretty fast and the server was attentive. I then ordered a hot green tea which came out luke warm. This would've been ok if we were sitting inside instead of outside. On our way out of the restaurant, I noticed there were SEVERAL spots by the bar and even their regular dining area. The high end cost for this experience was not worth it.
We went here because we saw it being recommended like many. The ambiance of the restaurant is really nice for date night or just having an intimidate dinner with someone or a group of friends. I really liked the seating area. The hostess and waiter were really kind of gave great suggestions. Cory was our waiter and he was very attentive and knowledgeable. I liked the food. The bao buns could’ve used a sauce to go with it. They just seemed a little dry but they were good regardless. The salad was really interesting and different. I was excited about the macaroni and cheese. While I wasn’t a huge fan of the texture because it’s very chewy the sauce was good. It was worth trying. The green beans were delicious. Definitely a must. The steak was good but that day they had a new cut and the steak was a little tough though. Cory was very apologetic about it. The flavor of it was good though. I would come back to try other dishes.
This was definitely a different type of experience. You have to open your pallet in order to enjoy what is being presented hands down. Probably some of the best egg rolls I've ever had. It's an interesting take on how as soon as the dishes are made they brought out they don't sit there so that you can experience the flavor of them being created.
Wow! Such incredible food. The flavors of everything are very special. The quality is great. The ambience of the place is super trendy and has a nice vibe. The service was really excellent. We had Isa serve us and he was amazing! We went here with friends and we can’t wait to come again!
