If you are looking for the most amazing, talented, capable, incredible photographer (and so much more)… this is the firm/person to hire. Genuinely had the best time at a photo shoot that my sister Holli arranged for our family as part of her birthday celebration. Seriously, run, not walk to hire this awesome creative. Truly exceptional experience and results. As of now I consider her our family’s official photographer for all our special occasions… and even the mundane ones like ‘I need a work headshot’. If you want the best.. this is your artist.

My husband and I went to Tomiko to have photos taken for Halloween in November 2025. I was not sure exactly what to expect, but II knew the pictures on her website were phenomenal! We also purchased the makeup artist option and were not disappointed. We had such a good time! She shot serious poses and goofy poses. She has such a high energy in her studio that is very contagious. I cannot say enough good things about her and the time we spent with her. The photos came out great and were magnified by about 100 once she finished her editing. Even though the price was a little high for our budget, I do not regret hiring her for this project. She helped us created a very memorable and special time for us. We have been married 37 years and these are the best photos we have ever taken! Thank you, Tomiko! I will recommend you to everyone I know!

Our photo shoot with Tomiko Essix was wonderful in every way. She is a consummate professional! She made herself available on relatively short notice to drive to Tuscaloosa for our photo session, and she made everything easy. Our head shots came out fantastic, and even after the actual shoot she was kind and accommodating as we finalized the look of the pictures. We would go back to her in a heartbeat the next time we need professional photography done.

Tomiko was amazing! She made the whole process a wonderful experience with her joyous personality. She knew exactly what to do and directed us with not only professionalism, but made it so much fun!! Our photos are excellent and I can recommend her wholeheartedly!
