I had very high expectations for Torta Boyz given their positive Google reviews and the buzz. I am happy to say those expectations were met and then surpassed. FOOD: The carne asada torta ($24) was absolutely insane. And excellent pricing in my opinion for the quantity. My husband and I decided to take a road trip from the most western part of Canada Vancouver to Halifax covering 60 hours of driving. By the time we got to Ottawa we had our fill of fast food and wanted something authentic and fresh; organic and most of all memorable. I googled a restaurant near the Trans Canada Hwy and the Torta Boyz came highly recommended. Upon reviewing the pictures and the comments, we were sold on the idea of a truly authentic Mexican moment. We were greeted with a pleasant hospitable waitress named Alea whom then helped explain the menu in detail along with the flavours accompanying each dish. We enjoyed her warmth and hospitality as we exchanged stories from the west coast driving here. The food was mouth watering and I almost licked the serving dishes. I highly recommend the Asada fries smothered with fresh cilantro; homemade guacamole along with pico de gallo and their signature salsa morita. Truly I’m sad we shared as I tried stabbing the fork to devour them fries all to myself. My husband ordered the Taco de Pescado featuring beer battered Haddock. Highly recommend that one and my favourite was the Taco de Pastor featuring pork shoulder snuggled with pineapple, salsa and avocado. What more could we expect when the chef surprised us with a complimentary tasters choice of churros for the road. Ok we nearly squealed back to order more. That made my day and we will make it our destiny spot coming through in our return trip

I really love this place both for their delicious food and for the wonderful hospitality they show to their guests. Every time I visit, the dishes are perfectly prepared, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. You can tell that the kitchen team truly cares about quality and consistency. The menu offers a great variety, and everything I’ve tried so far has been excellent. What makes this place even more special is their genuine sense of hospitality. The staff are always kind, welcoming, and attentive. They make you feel like a valued guest every single time, which is something you don’t find everywhere. Even when the restaurant is full, they do their best to accommodate everyone and make sure each guest has a pleasant experience. It’s true that getting a reservation here can sometimes be a bit difficult because it’s such a popular spot but honestly, that just shows how great it is! Once you get a table, you’ll see it’s completely worth the wait. They always manage everything in the best possible way. This place consistently delivers amazing food, excellent service, and a cozy atmosphere. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the city!

My friend and I wanted to try Mexican food. So, we chose Torta Boyz by chance on the internet. But, when we tasted the dishes, drinks, appetizers and desserts, we were won over. The food, the service and the drink were just wow! Thank you so much for these wonderful services. I will not hesitate to return.

Lovely lil Mexican joint and one of the highlights of my trip to Ottawa. I had the spicy margarita and the carne asada torta. The table shared tinga pollo fries and some churros. All of it was amazing!
