01/10/2026 For our 5th anniversary I proposed this evening with much help from the manager and team. I had reached out about a week in advance when making the reservation to see if they could help me make our night special. They allowed me to bring flowers and a card to prest our table when we arrived for our reservation. We made our way through drinks, appetizers and dinner. The manager played us one of our songs over the speakers as they brought out our dessert and a special plate with our custom ring box. The manager even stood off to the side and got pictures for us! All in all it was a great evening from the drinks, to the pork cheek appetizer down to the staff and kitchen. Thank you all for your help! We will be back
Great experience! This restaurant was fantastic and so much fun as a newcomer who’s never been! The restaurant itself has a beautiful interior where pictures will never do it justice. It’s kept clean, is spacious and staff are friendly and attentive! Menu is huge and offered a ton of variety for people to choose from. What I loved about this restaurant is that it’s definitely not like one you’ll experience everyday! The food was fantastic, rich and provided a homey comforting taste that was flavorful but also inspiring. Highly recommend this restaurant and the opportunity to have a wonderful experience enjoying a night out, holiday event, etc - this is the place!
We went on an Thursday evening at 8 PM. The service is amazing; we were seated and orders taken quickly, food came out piping hot and our glasses were always filled. I recommend looking at the menu ahead of time, it's a very big menu. Beautiful ambience. We ordered: • green goddess salad: small portions but very refreshing ane herby, good accompaniment with other heavier dishes. • fries: MUST ORDER, perfectly crispy and garnished with parsley, garlic and parmesan. • blackened rockfish w/ creole crawfish tasso sauce with corn grits: amazing, although a little indulgent because of the grits • petrale sole herb crusted with prawns, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. i can’t find it on the menu they have on their website, it must be a seasonal thing or a special, but absolutely AMAZING. • fried chicken gumbo: chicken was a little dry, but the gumbo was out of this world • non-alcoholic monday mezcal mule: delicious, tangy and spicy aftertaste • beignets: good, but not exceptional, but we've been spoiled with new orleans beignets
I’ve been to Toulouse Petit a few times before and always enjoyed it, but this lunch was a bit disappointing. I ordered three dishes and the server mixed up two of them. I originally chose the crab eggs Benedict — it was tasty, though pretty expensive at $38. I also ordered a chicken sandwich, but it came without the chicken… so I switched to the BBQ shrimp New Orleans with creamy grits. That one was excellent — the sauce was spicy, tangy, and really flavorful. We also ordered the mussels appetizer, but the bill showed a full entrée size instead. They corrected it when I pointed it out, but it made me wonder if I hadn’t checked the receipt carefully. Overall, the food is still good, but this visit felt overpriced and the service wasn’t as strong as my past experiences. Lunch came out to about $120 for two, which didn’t quite feel worth it this time.
Picked this place because of the amount of seafood dishes they have. The woman at the front counter was wonderful. The menu is HUGE. usually this turns me off from a restaurant but the dishes really sounded good. We got cocktails which were very tasty. We tried the biscuits and preserves and the buiscit with gravy. Both so good. My wife got a Benedict and I got shrimp and grits. The Benedict was great! The shrimp and grits was really good, i just personally prefer thicker, chunkier grits. These were very thin and almost soupy. It was still a good dish. Will definitely be back for different menu items.
