Awesome!! I did this tour at 2:30 pm on a very cold, drizzly day when a snow storm was rolling in - no ragerts, 13/10 would tour again 🖤✨ The guide was *rolling* with gong-level dad jokes (ba dum bum. Hiss.) and absolutely knew his stuff as far as engineering, architecture, social impact, and history, but most impactful to meeee… He was coming in hot with all the relevant Zillow details - what did this row house sell for when built? Oh there’s a vacancy in this condo building? Well guess what it sells for now… etc etc - so I could get my paparazzi on instead of cruising real estate websites 👌🏼🤣 Highest of fives, guy! Beer and bevs of all manner available for purchase onboard 🍻 **if you purchase a ticket via Groupon, do NOT forget to follow the instructions and do the second step - actually reserving a time slot on the tour company’s site** The tour company charges an additional $5ish when you book (superannoying!) (and WHY?? I already paid for my ticket via Groupon, right?? But my time is worth more than $5ish in debating that point, so whatever.) Regardless - wonderful way to spend 90 minutes. Totes McGoats would do it again (next time at night tho)
That was such a great tour! David, our tour guide, had so many interesting stores and facts about the buildings, that we were fully engrossed. He was funny too and gave us recommendations for things to see and places to go in this fabulous city. Thank you to him and to the nice captain who spoke and staff for snacks and safety! You will not regret going on this tour! The river views are amazing and this tour group is phenomenal!!
5 Stars - A Must-Do Tour in Chicago! I recently went on the 90-minute Architecture Boat Tour along the Chicago River, and it was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, the experience exceeded all expectations. Our tour guide, David, was a true gem. His deep knowledge of Chicago’s rich history and stunning architecture, combined with his wonderful sense of humor, made this tour both educational and entertaining. Not once did it feel dull—David kept us engaged the entire time with fascinating facts and stories. We did the 6:00 PM tour, and it was perfect. Watching the buildings gradually light up as night fell was breathtaking—everything looked even more spectacular against the night sky. The 90 minutes flew by, and we learned so much about Chicago’s iconic landmarks and architectural marvels. Whether you're a local or visiting, this is an absolute must-do! Highly recommend it!
I had a lot of fun taking this tour. Our tour guide was great and very knowledgeable. I love history, so this was a great way to get to learn about the city and it's architecture without having to deal with traffic and crowds. Our cruise was later in the day and it ended up being stunning as the sun was setting. I highly recommend for first time visitors to Chicago like myself.
Great tour! Booking the reservation on their website same-day was easy and user-friendly. Speaker was very knowledgeable and interactive with the audience, knew how to keep us interested and engaged. Smooth ride, no seasickness. Comfy seating, didn't feel tight despite being fully booked. 5:45PM was perfect – started off with daylight and not a hot sun, ended with sunset and early evening views. Very complete tour of the buildings and skyline. Definitely recommend!
