Service was outstanding and we were seated with our reservation of 8 immediately. Entrees, however, were quite underwhelming in both size and most importantly taste/temperature. Two of us had the lamb which was luke-warm at best. Two others had Marsala and Nonno Pasquale with veal and also commented food was not very hot. For around $40/entree you would think the chefs could use a thermometer or two in order to check temps prior to serving. My guess is the lamb was reheated from the day or two before and thus never brought up to temp. A freshly braised or stewed lamb shank should fall off the bone and be hot from the braising liquids. There are far better Italian restaurants in this price range or less to enjoy a meal at.
Had dinner here and the spaghetti was soooooooooooo delicious. My partner loved her gnocchi pomodoro. The Italian margarita was so good we had three of them. Casey is an amazing server. Very knowledgeable, upbeat and attentive. The tiramisu was delicious and creamy. Broccolini so good I had to order it again.
Chicken parm is one of my favorites and I was so excited to order it / eat it. And when I took a bite of the chicken I was expecting a nice breaded piece. But it was not breaded at all it was just kinda like a grilled piece of chicken with melted cheese and sauce. But the lasagna was a 10/10 The bread they give you is nothing special and when I think of an Italian restaurant I'm thinking a nice warm Baguette but they give you 4 small pieces
Food was probably the best I have ever had(for pasta and calamari). Drinks were great and service was good. We will definitely be back and I strongly recommend it if you like Italian food. Great wine selection also.
Diego is fantastic Because he was very attentive, respectful, humble, Polite, and Friendly. What a great white staff. He made the experience so much better. I asked for hot water once and he refilled my cup three times after that without me even asking and gave it to me in one second. All staff should be like him and he deserves 5 stars. Thank you. The food was nicely presented but the 3 veal dishes $32-$35 with beans or potatoes was a bit salty and the Padellino Kampelli $29 was a bit dry but tasty. Pasta was done just right. Meatballs $17 were good and the sauce was really good w fresh tomatoes and cheese and good flavor. Love the tomato chunks. And you get 4 meatballs that were 2” in diameter each. It is a cozy place and the bathrooms are nice. I just wish for the price point the food was less salty, more food, and just a better deal. Desserts were good and nicely presented also. Overall a nice place and good for good vibes and good times.
