I was really impressed with the assortment of chocolates at Trich’s Chocolates—so many exotic and unique flavors, from peanut-filled to other creative combinations. The chocolates themselves were high quality and visually appealing. However, my experience at checkout left a sour taste. When I tried to pay with a debit card, I was charged an additional surcharge. This is not legal—merchants are allowed to add a surcharge for credit card transactions, but debit card transactions should not have an extra fee. When I politely brought this to the attendant’s attention, they disagreed and refused to correct it. It was frustrating to see a knowledgeable customer rights issue dismissed like that. While the chocolates are great, this experience with the payment policy really overshadowed my visit.

Made a late evening stop at Trish’s Chocolate. James walked over to our end of the counter as soon as he seen us and greeted us so kindly. He was so sweet and helpful. Great customer service. We’ll definitely stop again on our next trip to The City. Really nice staff.

I have been a loyal patron here since I was five years old, and I fully intend to continue visiting for as long as I find myself in San Francisco. What truly made our latest visit so wonderful were the people. From Dennis, who guided our chocolate selection with his signature warmth and genuinely comedic charm, to Geraldo, who took the time during checkout to make a real, personal connection. Both gentlemen made our experience absolutely perfect. (I truly hope I got their names right!) If the owner is reading this, please know that these two gentlemen, Dennis and Geraldo specifically, were the absolute highlight of our evening. Please extend our deepest thanks and appreciation; we thoroughly enjoyed our time and look forward to our next visit!

Delicious truffles with wine or liqueur are one of my favorites. If you're in San Francisco, you can't miss this wonderful chocolate shop. The prices might seem high, but they're worth it.
