I first saw Dr. Choi about 8 years ago when I was dealing with stubborn rashes on my arm and chest that had been coming and going for over four years. They’d flared up pretty badly, and I knew that western medicine is not curing the root cause for such cases... Dr. Choi explained that the root cause wasn’t just a skin issue but was underlying digestive problems I hadn’t even realized I had. He prescribed herbal medicine and did three acupuncture sessions. The results were impressive — the rashes cleared up, and my digestion noticeably improved (less bloating and discomfort). Since then, I’ve only needed to go back once — recently, for another rash flare-up on my neck. Again, his treatment plan of herbal medicine and acupuncture worked, and the issue was resolved quickly. Dr. Choi is professional, attentive, and genuinely care about his patients. He takes the time to explain things clearly and follow up to make sure the treatment is working. Two visits in eight years, both with solid results. I trust Dr. Choi and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. Thanks again, Dr. Choi.

I’m 39 years old and have been seeing Dr. Choi for almost three years now — and I truly can’t imagine life without him. I’ve become so much more in tune with my body, and I can confidently say that my quality of life has improved dramatically. I first came to TY Wellness after a friend referred me while being treated for TSW. At the time, I was completely depleted — physically and mentally — and felt like I needed an immunity boost after having my third child. During my initial consultation, Dr. Choi and I decided to begin a round of Chinese herbal medicine (CHM) paired with weekly acupuncture. He quickly identified that I had a very weak digestive system and recommended cutting out gluten and high-carb foods. Coincidentally (or maybe not so coincidentally) I was diagnosed with prediabetes around that time. With consistent acupuncture, dietary changes, and more mindful movement, I was able to lower my A1C and am no longer considered prediabetic. I took a short break from treatment, but returned when I started noticing signs of perimenopause — periods just two weeks apart, night sweats, and intense mood swings. After another round of CHM and regular acupuncture, my cycle normalized to 28 days. Dr. Choi also helped treat eczema that developed on my legs and gave me much-needed relief from pinched muscles in my back. Since seeing him, I’ve become more aware of even the smallest shifts in my body — which honestly feels empowering. If you’re looking to improve your health through Eastern medicine, I can’t recommend TY Wellness enough. It’s been a life-changing experience.

When I first came across their Yelp page, I was cautiously optimistic. So many people shared incredible stories of healing, and while I hoped to be one of them, I was also skeptical. I had seen countless dermatologists and practitioners over the years with little to no results. But I knew I needed someone whose true specialty was dermatology, and after a long search, I finally found T.Y. Wellness. I am deeply grateful I did. It's important to note: this isn't a quick fix. The liquid herbs must be taken consistently, and yes, they don't taste great; I learned to chase them with a splash of juice, which helped. But this is real healing. Not symptom-masking. Not a band-aid. This is true internal medicine that works from the inside out. And that takes time and commitment. As a longtime caregiver to parents with complex health issues, I have seen some of the differences between Eastern and Western medicine. What T.Y. I have been seeing Dr. Choi for a few months now. My main concern was cystic acne, which has really cleared up! Dr. Choi prescribed me a custom herbal formula and performed weekly acupuncture. I am very happy with my results and highly recommend T.Y. Wellness Center!

Dr. Choi has changed my life. I first came to T.Y. Wellness in 2016 for neck and back pain that was unbearable. After a few acupuncture sessions with Dr. Choi, I had much more mobility in my neck. Within a year of being under his care, I had lost 60 pounds. In 2018, I bought a house and moved 80 miles away. I tried looking for another acupuncturist closer to me. I tried several different offices, but Dr. Choi and Dr. Park set the proverbial bar too high. His knowledge, bedside manner and his compassion for his patients, amongst other great qualities, are what sets him apart from other practitioners. Despite the time and distance that is required to travel to his office, it's worth it for me to continue to be treated by him.
