I had a phone screen replaced here on July 30, 2025. Within a few months, the replacement screen developed a growing, perfectly circular cluster of dead pixels in the center of the display. When I returned for warranty service, staff acknowledged that a small superficial scratch on the screen was not related to the dead-pixel defect, but the warranty claim was still denied. Corporate support later reclassified the issue as “physical damage” without providing any inspection report or evidence showing the scratch caused the failure. This was a defective replacement part, and the warranty was not honored. Be cautious about relying on their warranty coverage.

Unfortunately, there was no purpose in visiting this location despite filing my claim through Verizon/Asurion through my top tier phone protection plan, which by the way I have been paying monthly for many years. The employee stated he was unable to locate my claim in his system due to a glitch despite my email proof with claim number. He asked me to call Asurion and he can speak to them which would supposedly help. Despite Asurion confirming the claim was on file with the employee, the employee still stated the claim wasn’t showing up in the system so there was nothing he could do. There was also no apology about this situation in terms of proper customer service. So, we drove 35 minutes just for me to sit on the phone with Asurion and have them handle it. Completely pointless, please don’t waste your time. By the way, for anyone thinking your phone battery is the issue, Asurion may be able to mail you a replacement over the phone, so give that a try instead of wasting your precious time on your rare day off driving to this store.

Our phones are with US Cellular, and they offer insurance through Asurion, which allows you to take your device to uBreakiFix for repair. Quick side note, though: Asurion only lets you get your phone repaired if there's only one problem with it. If there's more than one, then they'll make you pay for a replacement device, which is extremely wasteful in a lot of cases, in my opinion. For example, uBreakiFix said they'd be able to replace the broken back glass and the bad battery for my son's iPhone 15, but Asurion refused to add a new battery to the claim that had a broken back glass listed already. They made me pay the $99 replacement fee and shipped him a new iPhone 15 instead. Anyway, back to my actual review of uBreakiFix. I filed a claim through the insurance first and chose to have it repaired here. I then took my other son's iPhone 16 Pro in to have the back glass replaced. I went to take it in the morning; they looked up the claim, went over some information with me, I signed the receipt, and they took his device to repair it. It cost $0 since it was something covered completely under the insurance. After a few hours, I went back around the time I was told it'd be ready, and it was done. It looked brand new again and has been fine ever since. So if you're looking to get something fixed instead of replacing it, and the fix is cheaper than replacing it, then I'd definitely recommend them.

uBreakiFix in Greenfield WI is a drop off point for trading in Amazon Tablets. My trade in was valued at 5$. I thought I'd be in and out with a receipt in several minutes. I was SO wrong. I waited 15 minutes for the person in front of me to be attended to. Then my turn. The Gentleman working there was pleasant but said their system was new and it was going to take some time. His Boss came to the counter and said he "was on a call right now, and would take care of it when he was done". I don't know how valuable your time is, but for 5 bux, it's just not worth the wait. 20 minutes total and only a promise that it was going to take time. THIS would be an example of why old electronics end up in a land full. There has GOT to be a better way.... @AMAZON - are you paying attention?

I had a big confusion with my service at uBreakiFix, and I was extremely emotional from all the back and forth. Thankfully, Jacob handled the situation with complete professionalism. He kept his composure, took the time to explain everything clearly, and made sure I understood the best route to get what I needed done without wasting any more of my time.
