Don’t ever let these people sell you a Bosch heat pump.My unit is less than 5 years old and it has been a nightmare.They sold it to me for 10000 dollars and I have a 1300 sq foot house. It has broken down every winter and also had to replace the thermostat.They don’t service what they sell had to try to find other HVAC people to try and fix it.
I had this company install a new HVAC system back on April 1st. The system is eligible for a $500-$800 rebate through TVA. This was outlined in the estimate from Ultimate Heating and Air and confirmed verbally numerous times. In order to claim this rebate, the installing company needs to submit a form to TVA to initiate the process. I doubt it's a huge inconvenience for the company to do. The company that serviced the HVAC units (I have 2) a week prior had the courtesy to submit rebate requests for that service and sent me confirmation of the rebate submission the same day the work was done. Getting Ultimate Heating and Air to complete the same courtesy has proven impossible. Two months of texts, e-mails and phone calls to the company went unanswered. Finally, after two months, I got a call back from Brady in which he admitted to intentionally ignoring my contact attempts because he was too busy with a "rebranding process". I guess customers aren't worth the 20 seconds it takes to at least provide a status? He said that they were getting close to finalizing things and I should hear something soon ... he said next week. Well, a week and a month have passed and still nothing. I contacted TVA and they said they would e-mail the company and extend their deadline for filing for the job (first I heard about a deadline😬). Still nothing. As far as I'm concerned this company stole $800 from me. If this sounds like the level of customer care you expect from a company you forked out $13,500 to, by all means give them a call. If I could turn back the clock I would have gone with someone else. There's no shortage of options out there. I have zero faith that I would have any backing if a warranty issue should arise. Once they got their money I was clearly no longer important to them. Update: TVA attempted numerous times to solicit a response from this company to obtain the information necessary to process the rebate. They couldn't get the company to respond either. I was luckily able to submit info on my own and they honored the rebate despite the dead beat company. Seriously, look elsewhere if this company is even still in business.
When you call, you speak to the owner, Brady. He knows the business and doesn’t sell you anything you don’t need. The installation for my dehumidifier was no nonsense and timely. The price was fair. There was an issue with a leak a couple weeks later. A tech came and solved it, no bill, no arguing, no problems. I very highly recommend this locally owned business.
*** from May 2024 *** Super impressed with Ultimate Heating & Air Conditioning. Our AC went out after 30 years. We checked with several companies before and after speaking with Brady. Brady wasn't high pressure. He clearly explained the options and benefits of different systems, the importance of sizing the AC tonnage and calculating the heat load, the benefits of a variable stage compressor and fan, soft-start, etc. And we feel we got a good deal too. We ended up getting a Bryant 288BNV036000 Evolution Series with inverter and heat pump with natural gas furnace. The installers did a great job. They were polite, professional and very knowledgable. They showed us how to operate the smart thermostat, and we even connected it to WiFi, and installed an app on my phone so I could see what was going on. They did a great job cleaning up. I couldn't believe how quite the outside unit is. You can literally have a conversation next to it when its on full power. We never built a deck outside because of the AC compressor noise of our old unit. We can rethink that deck now. Super happy with our decision to use Ultimate Heating & Air Conditioning. Highly recommend these good folks. *** Update November 28, 2024 *** Our electricity bill went from a summer peak of $510+ in 2022, $480+ in 2003, down to $260 after installing unit. It keeps the house super comfortable and low humidity in the summer, and very comfortable in the winter. See added pick of the electricity usage. Still super happy with purchase.
