Norm was everything we asked for in a DJ and more for our wedding. He spent time getting to know us and our love story to make our day the best it could possibly be. We hired Norman as the DJ for our wedding reception. We got SO MUCH more than I could have ever imagined. I am really inexperienced with party planning and really didn't know what to expect. When we hired Norman we thought he would just show up to the reception hall, set up and do his thing...which we already knew would be pretty fantastic after he did my best friend's wedding three years earlier. He put us at ease for every step of this part of the wedding planning! He went truly above and beyond to make our day special. We had no sound system in the chapel for the ceremony...Norman to the rescue! He worked with our ceremony musician to help amplify his sound. In addition to helping our musician with sound, he had put a mic on my husband and our officiant so we didn't have a big ugly mic stand in the middle of the aisle. The mic was so discreet, that I didn't even notice it was on him. Every single person in the room was able to hear our vows. Including my 92 year old grandmother who is hard of hearing. Norman prepped us with a binder so thorough it put the Knot's wedding binder to shame! He played every type of music we requested and at the perfect times, including my Husband's special request of the Imperial March from Star Wars. He kept the flow of the wedding reception going and it was so much fun and he made it so special for my husband and me and our families. It has been several weeks since our wedding and we are still hearing about how great Norman was from our guests. From the bottom of my heart, Norman....Thank you so much! I can't wait to have a reason to use your services again!!
Norman is by far one of the most amazing DJ's that I've ever come across. I've been at a variety of events that's he's DJed at, ranging from a High School Dance to a Senior Center Dance. He knows how to do it all! The energy that he brings to the room is not one that I've ever gotten at any other event. It's very transparent that he puts in research before the event so that he can do the best job.
I can't say enough positive things about Norm from Ultimate Sounds. We had our wedding in our backyard, and he was the highlight of the wedding. He was charismatic, charming, funny, and professional. As the bride, and having a non-traditional wedding...I was, of course, overwhelmed by pretty much everything. I didn't want to pass my stress onto Norm, or overwhelm him. But at our first meeting, I knew that I could trust him to get the job done. He was so organized, and took everything in stride. He made some great suggestions, and he came up with a game plan for the music and overall flow of the wedding. He hit every request that I made, and got the music perfect. But more than that, he was able to create an energy at the wedding that nobody else could do. He made us laugh with his jokes and games (his one-liners....so funny! how does he do it??) He kept us all entertained, and made sure the wedding day moved along at the right pace by calling the toasts, announcements, bouquet toss, garter toss and dancing! He was amazing! Maybe I'll get married again, just so he can DJ the wedding! ;)
