I went a couple times for the adult beginner hip hop classes. The class was reasonably priced and the venue was really nice. Likewise my fellow dancers were friendly and talkative. The instructor was friendly and was trying to be encouraging but, unfortunately that’s about all I have nice to say about my experience here as a rank beginner dancer. The “beginner hip hop for adults” class is not a beginner class. The instructor moved too fast and tried to get thru an entire routine in an hour when most of us (except for the obviously advanced dancers) were clearly struggling. The instructor was too focused on choreography and not enough on the basics. They need an actual beginners class for adults. I found my experience to be frustrating and didn’t really learn much. It’s especially a disappointment because this is one of the few “beginners” classes for adults in the area. I guess there’s no money teaching adults to dance. 🤷🏻 I don’t recommend this place for adults unless you already have some experience under your belt and want to add some new moves to your arsenal. Otherwise you’re likely to come away frustrated and discouraged like I did. I honestly hate to give this place a bad review, because everyone there was so friendly. However the fact of the matter is that the lessons I went to weren’t structured for beginners at all.

My daughter has been attending dance at UPAC for 8 years now and she’s only 10! We have enjoyed the emphasis on technique as it applies to all dance types. The staff is all top notch and the dancers continue to grow and flourish in their craft!

We love our UPAC family. Since joining 3 years ago I couldn’t ask for a better team of teachers who have become family. The dedication to all of their students is amazing.

I absolutely love upac! It was my daughters first year dancing and she progressed so much throughout the year. Jodie was so amazing and patient with her. I definitely recommend this dance company whenever I get a chance!
