Had a fantastic game of badminton with my partner at the UOB sports and fitness centre. Will definitely be attending again.

Very poor value for money and extremely disappointing management. The membership fee is very high (£58 per month), yet the facilities are quite limited. During the summer, parts of the facilities were closed for maintenance for around two months, which significantly affected normal use. No compensation or fee reduction was offered. Staff attitude is another major issue. Interactions felt cold, dismissive and unhelpful, especially when raising reasonable questions about membership or cancellation. The swimming pool is frequently occupied by large groups of children attending lessons, which makes it extremely difficult for adult members to use the pool properly. This is not clearly communicated in advance. Before joining, the service was presented very positively during enquiries, and the website advertises a wide range of “free” classes and activities. In reality, despite paying £58 per month, many of these classes are not available to book or are extremely restricted. This feels misleading once you have already committed and paid. Despite not using the facilities for over six months, I was not allowed to cancel my membership without paying an additional month’s fee. There was no flexibility at all, even in cases of non-use or relocation. Overall, the experience feels highly transactional and unfair. I would strongly encourage others to be cautious, read the terms carefully, and think twice before joining.

The facilities are good, that’s just a shame that staff especially if you want to cancel your membership behave unpleasant and rude. I wanted to cancel my membership two months ago and still they keep charging me and their reason are terms and conditions that doesn’t make sense and never explained on their induction session.

Very poor customer/client experience with staff. Raised a complaint in May with inadequate responses from Jamie Chick. Escalated to management team and have had no response from them, despite me emailing almost weekly for an update. Their own policies state management aim to respond within a few working days. I’ve followed up with Jamie and Mark multiple times - I’ve either been ignored or told to wait. It’s been 3 months. I regret paying in full for the year or I would’ve stopped my direct debit. 2 stars given because the facilities are thankfully better than the service from management. It gets very very busy at peak times. The sauna and steam room are both too small for a gym this size and can close at almost no notice for a week. Community members get 3 hours parking, which is good, but zero charging points in a huge multi-storey is outdated. Swipe access is also outdated - members should be able to scan a card instead.
