Valley Brook is hands down my favorite tea house in DC! They specialize in Wuyi oolongs and have a simply outstanding selection of those. I've also purchased quite a bit of their teaware and use it at home daily. Their prices are also hard to beat for the sheet quality you're getting. This is one of my "must visits" in Dupont Circle.

The owner was so great! He explained everything really efficiently and was very knowledgeable. My friend and I are here for a trip, but I was very impressed by how many regulars he interacted with! Great atmosphere and light, ample seating, loved the traditional guqin music in the background!

Wonderful tea set experience. Also, the best vegan cookies I ever tasted! The orange one had a nice jammy filling inside and paired well with the tea. Server was so kind and knowledgeable, 5/5, will go again. Maybe tomorrow.... Also! Really conveniently located next to the dupont circle metro.

After watching the luner New Year event, we dropped by this tea shop, and we ordered the Lou Gui, the Dragon Beard and the pineapple cookie. Their tea smells very nice and fragrant and tastes really good. The cookie was good and had the right amount to pair well with the tea as we did not want a meal as with some shops. The staff was very friendly and explained about the type of teas they have well. So making a selection was much easier that way. We are curious about other pastries and teas so will comeback when in the area.

Chinese tea house located in a hotel. The owner staff are very welcoming and take the rime to explain the tea options and experience. We took a cup of oolong tea, which tasted good and relaxed us. We also took their pineapple cookies, which were original and reminded me of the good luck cookies in china. Nice place to drink a good chinese tea.
