The 30x30x30 opening was packed tighter than a can of sardines! It was really difficult to view the art! I went specifically to see Allison's felted landscapes(I'm a fiber artist too ) and I heard her mention at the Drawing Room that she needle felted too and was accepted in the show. I ended up purchasing a painting by Brian Holoubek. Allison's were already all sold! Congratulations! The Quilt Museum of Fiber Arts in Cedarburg, Wisconsin bought them all for their permanent collection. Go see them!

Figure drawing is great! I love that I can enjoy a glass of wine, draw and paint, and chat with those around me after.

A group of friends and I stopped by the gallery to experience Deep Lake Future but afterwards we really enjoyed taking some time to browse the Var Gallery's "Small Works" exhibition. It was a cool way to see pieces from all different artists in bite-sized form. We liked the various mediums and styles and we made a game of going around and trying to determine which pieces must have gone in a series together by the same artist.
