I’m writing this review to document an extremely unprofessional and humiliating experience at Vega Dance Lab. I attended a class to support a friend who has a disability and is autistic, and who experiences severe anxiety. I had been there before on multiple occasions to support her without any issues, the only difference was that most of those times were with other instructors. Before this class began, we checked with the front desk and asked if it was okay for us to sit quietly in the back to support her, and we were told that this was fine. We sat quietly at the back of the room and did not disrupt the class in any way. During the class, Evie stopped teaching, singled us out, and publicly called us “perverts,” along with other demeaning and inappropriate names, in front of everyone. This was done loudly and in the middle of class, with no attempt to address any concern privately or professionally. Instead, she chose public confrontation and humiliation. The interaction was mean-spirited, unnecessary, and completely inappropriate. Regardless of any misunderstanding, calling guests “perverts” and using other demeaning language — especially after permission had already been given by the front desk, and when they are there to support someone with a disability — is unacceptable behavior, particularly coming from the owner of the studio. The way this was handled felt like a misuse of authority and a clear power trip rather than professionalism or leadership. The front desk staff was polite and other instructors were as well, but Evie represents the studio, and her behavior created a hostile and embarrassing environment. This was the first time anything like this had happened, and I have not returned since, I cant justify supporting a business with an owner like this. I left feeling humiliated and disrespected. There is not a single person that I would recommend coming to this dance studio, Evie is not inclusive or accommodating to anyone but herself and her own ego, she is the owner and she will definitely let you know it if not feel it.

The dance party hustle class where you follow along with the instructor was super welcoming and fun for a newbie like me, and a great workout to boot. Thank you Sidnie!!
