This hotel hyped this venue up way too much for my liking. My Aunt decided to throw her 55th birthday party at venue twenty two this past weekend and it turned out disastrous! The dinner before the actual party which was at The Shore Club restaurant was awful, everyone who ordered the steak dinner ended up with what I’m assuming to be food poisoning because they all had to run to the washroom multiple times throughout the night. There were also finger foods that were prepared for the party that the staff put out way too early after the dinner(this was an invite only party so the guest that were at the dinner were the same guest to attend the party) and it ended up going to waste for the most part because it was only 15-20 mins after everyone went upstairs that the food went out. To top it off the staff ended up packing up all of the food because then they decided it was “left out too long” which is understandable, but the point being was that the food should have not been brought out until later that evening that way everyone could have enjoyed it. The staff also treated the attending DJ horribly as they kept telling him to turn the music down in a room which advertised to be “soundproof”. We didn’t want the music blasting, but loud enough for us to be able to enjoy it in a room that size. We weren’t able to hear it because they continuously interrupted the DJ telling him to turn it down Needless to say the money that was spent on this party went to waste and I do not recommend renting this venue after the way we were treated. Do better Westin, this was very disappointing.
Wonderful venue, recently attended a cocktail reception in this space, located on the 22nd floor of the Westin Ottawa. There are wrap around windows with expansive views of the city, highlighted by the Parliament Buildings and the Fairmont Chateau Laurier. The bartenders and service staff were friendly and efficient with serving guests and I noticed that they were extra diligent in keeping the room tidy throughout the event. This is an excellent choice for business and personal functions!
We recently hosted our wedding at Venue Twenty Two. We can’t express enough how perfectly the service was orchestrated by the Westin. The food was delicious and served in a timely manner! The venue is beyond beautiful. The floor to ceiling windows offered amazing views of downtown Ottawa and the sunset was breathtaking from up there! Our coordinator was Kayla Camus leading up to the event and Mariam on the day of. They were both so professional, organized and answered my many many questions promptly! Thank you both so much! We would recommend the Westin/Venue Twenty Two to any future brides/grooms!
Beautiful conference room with breath taking views of Ottawa and stunning sunset. Elegance and always pleased with Westin services. I love the fragrances and always purchase some for my home.
Really cool venue with a great view of downtown Ottawa. We had our work Christmas party there (apps and drinks) food and service was great. The 270° view of ottawa was breathtaking.
