My husband and I love to order pizza from here, as it makes us feel like we’re back home in Chicago. Tonight we wanted something different. I got the meatball sub and he got a calzone. I was very disappointed that there was no cheese on the sandwich..? I’ve never had a meatball sub with no cheese…
Vero Chicago Pizza on Ray Street in Chandler has quickly become one of our new favorites—just like their other locations we’ve enjoyed for years. This was our first time visiting this specific spot, and it did not disappoint. The Chicago Italian beef sandwich is outstanding—tender, flavorful, and everything a proper Chicago beef should be. The restaurant itself is clean, modern, and visually appealing, creating a great atmosphere to relax and enjoy your meal. The staff is also incredibly friendly, which makes the experience even better. If you haven’t tried Chicago’s Italian beef before, do yourself a favor and order one. Step up to the counter and ask for a beef—hot, sweet, wet—and then grab a stack of napkins, because you’re definitely going to need them. We highly recommend this place.
Went here for my birthday meal with my hubby, we ordered everything to share. 10” butter crust pizza, large Caesar salad with chicken, and 1/2 dozen Buffalo chicken wings. Chicken Cesar salad: Pros - the dressing was perfect, the garlic bread croutons were to die for, the lettuce was super fresh and the portion was perfect to share. Cons - the chicken was very dry and hard, like it was 4 days old and reheated several times (see photo) Buffalo Wings: Pros - Buffalo sauce was very good Cons - we got 3 super tiny wings, less than a bite (they were all drums - see photo). The wings weren’t crispy and kinda fatty, maybe that was our bad for not asking for crispy ones. Pizza: Pros - holy smokes dude, 10/10, some of the best pizza I have had in a grip. We got the seats tower on their butter crust. The cheese was so fresh and melty, toppings are super fresh, the amount of sauce was just right, AND THE CRUST. Overall we will definitely be back for pizza and salad with no chicken.
This place is legit! This Chandler location at Price and Ray os easy to get to. Fortunately , it's just a few minutes from our house, too! I love their thin and their deep dish pizza. The place also has a really nice look and feel to it. Not a big place but super comfortable with a nice little bar area. Great quality pies done right with quality ingredients. Watch for some of their specials, too. They're amazingly affordable. But, overall, you can't go wrong with Vero. Nice people, good grub. Highly recommend this place.
Had an appointment nearby and remembered Vero’s beef sandwich special—had to stop in. It was so good I went back later that night for round two after my wife reminded me about the butter crust deep dish we’d planned for dinner. Even my daughter, who claims she doesn’t like deep dish, cleaned her plate! Feels like a taste of the South Side of Chicago right here—Vero’s just became our family’s new favorite spot.
