Small but charming gallery with interesting works, and you can even meet some of the artists, a nice local experience!

This was a beautiful gallery in a delightful heritage building. There is a small cafe on the ground floor for a quick recharge, and the society also offers art classes. I came on the last day of the Victorian Artists Society Summer Exhibition and was impressed by the range and quality of pieces. Posted my top three favourites with artists credited. The ground floor galleries also had two solo exhibitions. I highly recommend “Wake Up Call… Lessons from Nature’s Sculptured Landscapes” by Megan-Jane Johnstone for its thought-provoking depictions of our landscapes affected by climate change. Edit; At the time of posting this review, I visited the 2025 Summer exhibition in Feb 2025. I returned for the 2025 Spring exhibition and was blown away by the quality of works. Additional photos of my favourites uploaded.

What a gem of an Art Gallery in Melbourne city! Hubby brought me here on a date & it didn’t disappoint. Lots of beautiful art by local artists, & new exhibitions regularly. Staff were so accomodating, helpful & knowledgeable. Will return no doubt many times. Purchased a lovely work of art also. Highly recommend!
