The food and service is consistent with other restaurants in the Wahaca chain. Service was quick and our server was polite and attentive (I believe her name was Nell). Thank you for a lovely meal.

Had an absolutely excellent lunch at Wahaca in Edinburgh. The food was outstanding – fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. Every dish was spot on and clearly made with care and quality ingredients. The service was truly impeccable, with a special mention to Mateo, who went above and beyond to make the experience memorable. Attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming without ever being intrusive – exactly how great hospitality should be. The atmosphere was cosy and relaxed, making it the perfect place to enjoy a long, enjoyable lunch. 100% recommended – we’ll definitely be back!

I have to admit, I was a bit hesitant at first to try Wahaca in Edinburgh — being from Puerto Rico and having lived four years in Mexico City, I know how hard it is to find authentic Mexican/hispanic flavors abroad. But wow, they absolutely nailed it! The drinks were phenomenal, easily on par with what you’d find in the best spots in Mexico City — perfectly balanced, fresh, and beautifully presented. And the food… simply amazing. The flavors were rich, layered, and authentic. I especially have to highlight the cochinita pibil tacos (or pork pibil, as they call it here) — tender, juicy, and bursting with the kind of flavor that immediately takes you to the Yucatán. I had the “Wahaca for One” which offers a bit of everything. A big shoutout to George, my waiter, who was professional, attentive, and genuinely kind throughout my visit. The restaurant was completely packed, and they weren’t even accepting walk-ins, so I feel lucky to have snagged a last-minute table for one. Overall, Wahaca exceeded all my expectations. It’s a must-visit for anyone craving Mexican food in Edinburgh. Well done to the team — keep it up, and thank you for a lovely meal and experience! 🌮🍹🇲🇽

We had dinner at Wahaca last night and it was great. The service provided by George was great. He was really friendly, asking how our day was and giving great advice on the menu choices. He was really attentive. The food was very tasty and the margarita and mojito were yum. Would recommend and ask for George!
