The few times I’ve been it has been a good experience. Staff has been friendly, the space is clean, always kids around so it’s family friendly, and the food is GREAT and reasonably priced. I also appreciate that the screens tell you how much time you have left in your game.
Came to take my son bowling for his 7th birthday and while we were waiting we decided to grab a bite to eat. My wife & I had the Grilled chicken sandwich combo w/fries & a drink. My son had the Alley Dog & my daughter had a cheese pizza (7”). I was VERY surprised at how good the food was and the prices were not bad at all. Besides the bowling the food was probably my favorite part of the afternoon lol
Waveland Bowl has cleaned up and revitalized its space a LOT since we moved into the neighborhood 20 years ago. BUT MOST OF THE ARCADE MACHINES DON'T WORK!! One of the Batman games had broken speakers. The gun on the Big Buck Hunter game stopped working. Air hockey crapped out unexpectedly. One of the racing games had non-functional pedals. My kids are big, so their disappointment at wasting a $20 game card was minimal. But if you have smaller kids, there's gonna be tears.
So disappointed tonight! I would never suggest going here in the evening. We tried to make a reservation and they told us we weren't able to, that we had to be in person and get on the wait list. When we arrived the wait time was 30 mins. So we went to the arcade. After waiting we got a lane! YAY! While we were putting on our shoes in our lane somebody took our drinks. I immediately told the gentleman behind the bar as well as the "security". They told me they couldn't do anything about it. At that point we just wanted to leave. I went to the desk and they said they could only credit me $53 of the $70 that we spent ($60 for an hour and $5 each person per shoe rental). He offered to replace the drinks but said he couldn't promise if anyone were to take them again. He explained that they were cleaning up after having a large party prior to us being in the lane. Whoever is cleaning up should've asked us if those were our drinks before taking them away, especially being that they were on the table in our lane, next to our seats. There were also a group of young men (teenagers), in the lane next to us who probably took our drinks. When we said outloud "someone stole our drinks" the young men behind us instantly went silent and all ducked down like they were guilty. Security needs to be better. We should have been fully refunded. Grateful they didn't take our wallets, car keys, or phones. We used to love this place! I can't say we would go back again.
