My 6yo absolutely loved her first half-day holiday class at WWAS. The staff were warm and welcoming, the school was inviting and well-resourced. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

I loved Kevin's painting class - Cultivating your Practice. I have had a professional art practice now for over seven years, and studied a master of art at UNSW. Kevin's knowledge and focus was perfect for my current interests. Particularly in developing, in my new works, an increased awareness of tonalty, perspective, depth and colour nuances. While my work is fauvist, colourist in nature I benefit greatly from working with artists whose practice is different from my own style. Kevin is an exceptional teacher and was very insightful as to the suggestions that would help me build my practice. Great group of fellow artists to work with over the course.

Richard is quite an amazing teacher. It’s such a unique experience to be a student in his class. He excites you about travel, he has done so much and shares his stories, he gives very clear ‘how to’s’ and demonstrates the ‘how to’s’ His travel sketchbooks over decades are so varied and enchanting. I have seen both experienced artists and beginners all learn so much from him. All with him being very entertaining and funny.

I attended a four hour oil painting workshop with Natalie Popovski today and had a wonderful time. Without overwhelming us with technical info she gave some great insights and encouraged us to get painting. Her support and advice during the event was so helpful and she helped me avoid judging myself too harshly. All the equipment was provided - the only slight disappointment was that the canvases were a bit scratchy and the paint quality a bit mixed. A wonderful way to spend a Saturday.

I attended 2 classes over the weekend, an Introduction to Drawing and an Introduction to Oil Paints, both classes hosted by Natalie Popovski. Firstly, I LOVED every minute of both full-day classes! As a novice I learnt a lot about technique and building artistic skills, expression and so much more. Natalie is a great teacher creating a well paced class and she's very patient. I can't imagine it's easy to teach a group of beginners. Thank you Natalie and the WWAS for a memorable, fun, motivating and exciting weekend of creating!! I will be booking into a few more classes this year, that's for sure!
