Steve transformed our tired 80+ year old dinning table and buffet into a family heirloom. He worked with us to find the right custom stain colour and we are delighted with the results. Steve is very knowledgeable about wood treatments and a pleasure to work with. We are very glad we decided to keep the furniture that was passed down to us, and will enjoy using it every day.
We were devastated when we discovered deep scratches on all our kitchen cabinets caused by a cleaning company using some kind of steal abrasive cleaning sponge . I called all over looking for someone who didn't say that all the cabinets would have to be replaced. Finally, I was given Steve's phone number and he came out to inspect and give a quote for the cabinets which he confidently said "Sure I can fix them"! He even suggested to us, to save some money, if we took off all the cabinets ourselves and delivered them to his workshop. We immediately scheduled an date for drop off. Steve, is a real craftsman and very pleasant. The cabinets looked amazing and we even had a hard time finding where the scratches were. I highly recommend Steve and his company for any wood working projects that need to be done. Thanks for your INCREDIBLE work on our cabinets!!
I am a woodworker and renovation contractor with 52 years of experience using subtrades and tradesmen here in Calgary for high end projects. I have used Steve and his workers at Weismose since 2023 when I first discovered his advertisement for refinishing wooden front doors and frames. I carried out five door projects with Weismose and received excellent service and workmanship that produced very satisfied clients. In addition, I had cabinets and accessories finished at their shop with the same excellent results. Steve has a skillset and a rare understanding of unusual finishes and techniques that is not often encountered in these times. I wholeheartedly recommend his services without reserve.
Steve and Brent did an outstanding refinish of our front door. They both took great care and true pride in their craftsmanship, ensuring the quality of the work was impeccable regardless of the amount of time it took. We knew the door stain needed to be darkened to match our exterior renovation, and Steve created a custom stain to create the perfect finish. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome!
Wonderful experience with Weismose. Steve did an amazing job. We had our interior oak doors refinished. We started with another company and were disappointed with the results. Steve then took the doors and completely fixed and redeemed them. He is a master craftsman and a pleasure to work with. Can’t recommend enough. He then also did work on our stair bannister, changing orange 80s oak into beautiful warm brown. I couldn’t find another company that would take on the work so was so pleased when Weismose stepped up!
