The guy the runs the night time wheel chair tennis clearly just likes to make up his own rules as he goes. The sign clearly states the courts are reserved for wheel chair use until 9pm. He then attempts to use both courts til 9:30. We saw one court was empty and had my handicapped mother walk extremely far from the street to the court just to be told an empty court is being used. I understand if they want to use both courts…then use them. Don’t say you’re using an empty court when you’re not. Dude clearly has one more ounce of authority and likes to flaunt it. The people that frequent here often talk about he just does whatever he wants

This is one of my favorite features offered by the City of Houston and the Park & Recs department. The whole facility is accessible with tons of FREE programs for people with disabilities. They have wheelchair rugby, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair tennis, Tabata Tuesday classes for people to take part in, arts classes, yoga, therapy, a swimming pool, an accessible playground that even the community uses, bus loading and unloading from metro, a full gym and fitness center, boxing equipment, tons of community events all year, and more. I wish I had found this facility sooner.
