We took our pup here due to an injury. We did have to wait a couple of hours, but it was due to there being more severe injuries that they had to tend to first. I appreciated the fact that they came in frequently to update us on the wait. We spent the majority of our time in the evaluation room, so I didn’t have to stress about being in the waiting room with other pets. My pup was able to relax off leash during that time. We had X-rays and were prescribed medicine. I did pay a $250 deposit that went towards that, and did not have to pay too much more. Everyone seemed very friendly, and again, I really appreciated them constantly updating us on our wait. If we ever need an ER vet again, we will definitely go here. Highly recommend.
I’ve consistently received excellent care here for both my dog and my cats. The veterinarians are knowledgeable, compassionate, and always take the time to answer questions. While their prices may not be the lowest in town, they are very fair for the quality of care provided, and the team is always transparent about costs. I’ve had to bring my pets in for both urgent and emergency visits, and each time they were handled with professionalism, clear communication, and a realistic, transparent approach to diagnoses, treatment options, and pricing.
I wanted to share my honest experience in hopes that it brings awareness and encourages improvement within your practice. I truly believe anyone who works with pets should be compassionate and empathetic toward the little four-legged angels who come through your doors—especially in emergencies when families are already stressed and scared. We brought in our puppy after he injured his paw, trusting that a 24-hour emergency vet would provide both medical care and emotional support. Unfortunately, from the moment we walked in, the front desk felt very cold and disengaged. A vet tech took our puppy to the back, and about 30 minutes later the doctor came in. The interaction felt very detached—no warmth, no sympathy, and the news given to us was alarming and delivered without any compassion. We were told he needed immediate surgery and would likely lose his leg. Hearing something so serious delivered in such a cold manner was incredibly painful for us as pet parents. Out of concern, we took our puppy for a second opinion at another veterinary clinic. Not only did the new vet confirm he does not need surgery, but they also pointed out that the cast put on by your team was applied incorrectly. His injury was on his paw, yet the cast extended all the way up to his hip, which the doctor said could potentially affect his growing bones. This was extremely alarming considering your clinic charged us over $600, only for us to leave terrified and with improper care. My advice—and sincere request—is that moving forward, your team practices more empathy when delivering difficult news. Not everyone is emotionally or financially prepared to hear worst-case scenarios without context, reassurance, or a sense of compassion. A little understanding goes a long way. Additionally, please consider exploring other treatment options before presenting the most severe outcomes as the only possibility. We love our pets like family, and in emergency situations, we look to you for guidance, clarity, and comfort. I hope this feedback encourages a more thoughtful and supportive approach for future clients. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
I was so glad I had Westbury on speed dial in case of emergency. Sadly, I did have to use it. Sadly as in, my sweet fur baby was ill. But the staff, all of them from the front desk to the vets to the vet techs, were phenominal. Communication was great, very clear with cost and expectation, very careful with treatment but also didn't keep her too long just in case. 2 nights of having my girl away was enough but she came home in such great shape. I am so thankful to the team at Westbury and they are for sure my go to in case of emergency.
Always do a great job with my pet. Aggresive tiny Chihuahua and they were able to get his shots in and clip his nails with ZERO issues. They also helped my blind Husky who was attacked by vicious dogs and saved her life along with following up to remediate a possible infection to the wounds. The staff loves being there and always treats us with respect. If you were treated otherwise maybe you should look inwards towards your tone with people and dont look to receive free services anywhere. They were decently priced but any money paid towards a happy and healthy pet is worth their weight in gold.
