Guy taking orders was kind of rude. The food and coffee were delightful but his energy just made it seem like we were not welcome in there. Would love to go back for some pottery when he’s not there. I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt and assuming he was having a bad day but he was very off putting, we didn’t end up staying and got our drinks and food to go. The vibe of the place is so cute though and tons to look at with plenty of seating space, also very unique pottery!

I had such a wonderful experience at Wet Clay Cafe today. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful. At one point, I asked about smaller plates, and one of the staff members went out of their way, lliterally into the back hidden reaches, to check if they had anything that might work. That level of effort really stood out. The atmosphere is creative and welcoming, and browsing the unfinished pottery was such a fun part of the visit. The food was delicious, and my latte was honestly one of the best I’ve had in a while. What truly made this experience unforgettable, though, was how the staff handled a difficult situation. A young woman in the shop was clearly distressed after being followed, and the team stepped in immediately. They were calm, professional, and firm, making it clear she was safe and supported. It was handled with such care and respect; it really says a lot about the kind of people they are. This is more than just a café, it’s a place where people look out for each other. Highly recommend.

I have been coming to wet clay frequently, and recently I ordered 2 drinks and a panini and a croissant. I asked the worker for my receipt and he was very hesitant to print it off and he said "well it seems you did not select the "print receipt" option." He made it seem like it was not an option to re-print the receipt, which was strange. When i get the receipt back, it shows a 15% service charge. This is not clear when being rung up and there is no signage posted about this policy. Then I tipped an additional 20% as I was not aware I was being charged 15%. I was very surprised as my previous visits I had never gotten the receipt. It is absolutely fine if you want to charge a 15% service charge, HOWEVER you need to post clear signage about the policy. I have seen previous reviews complaining about the same thing, and the owner or manager needs to create signage to post (preferably not AI generated like the "pizza" signage). As a dedicated creative space it is important to support artists, not AI. It is disappointing to see the AI generated sign. Anyways, I love wet clay's coffee and vibe and experience, and I would 100% be ready to revise my review once I see some fair signage posted about the fees. This entire experience felt a bit like I was being tricked and felt a bit "scammy," and I do not believe this is the true intention, but it needs to be fair for both the business and the customer. ** Edit after the Owner's response. Randy, A key point in my review is that the service fee signage is not CLEAR. It is not CLEAR on what services will require a fee. Also, please understand that I was sitting INSIDE Wet Clay while writing my initial review. I even went up to the front to look for signage, and I did not see CLEAR signage. Clear signage would consist of things like simple and concise messaging, ideally with one clear message on a sign. Hiding things in paragraph format signs is NOT clear signage.
