The best source for art supplies in the Twin Cities, hands down. Wet Paint has a knowledgeable, skilled, vetted, and well-educated staff that can help you find anything you need- from a basic notebook and pencils/pens all the way to professional-grade paints and materials. Don’t waste your time with the big box chain stores. It’s any creative person’s dream- a store filled to the brim with beautiful pens, notebooks, paints, sketchbooks, and a myriad of other tools you never knew existed. I have spent countless hours over many, many years browsing the shelves at Wet Paint and I always leave feeling inspired and excited to create. Our community is very lucky to have such a gem of a shop in our midst and I am grateful to be able to call this place my local art store. One review cannot encapsulate the joy Wet Paint has brought to my life over the years, but I hope that every person who walks through that door can leave feeling the same sense of excitement, intrigue, and hopefulness for everything that has yet to be created- all thanks to the art supplies thoughtfully tucked into the little paper bag they’re carrying after a successful shopping trip at the best independent art store.

This business is the best of the best and could serve as an example of how a brick and mortar retailer excels over the internet. Open everyday, reasonable hours, and all employees are expertly knowledgeable. As real art supply storefronts have almost all dissolved (HobbyLobby & Michaels don’t count they serve a craft community) from Minnesota, the always well stocked Wet Paint should be your first stop for all things archival.

Whenever I am low on an art supply or am missing something, I go straight to Wet Paint. And everyone is so friendly and helpful, it's a joy to shop there, too! I could say so much more, but why are you reading this review instead of going to the best local art supply store around?!

I'm artist and have been for 40 years. This art store ranks in my top favorites and is on par with the best art stores I've been to on the west coast, east coast, and the UK. I'm incredibly impressed with their selection, range of low to high priced supplies, and the customer service is perfection. I will be ordering from them regularly, and fortunately they ship.

Artists little heaven on Earth. I love this place and how knowledgeable the staff is. My new interest is watercolors. They had all the supplies for beginners like me, to pros and well. Thanks Landon and Maria for helping me with the selections.
