I’ve began the new student two week special & have attended 5ish? Classes so far. I’ve really enjoyed the variety, inclusive space, and inclusive class options regarding classroom temperature, space, and late policy.
Like a second home! Love Wild Root. Appreciate the wide variety of classes and how knowledgeable the teachers are! I’ve been going a few times a week for the last 6+ months and it’s always fresh and fun…even at 7 AM! 😂
My go-to strategy for writing Google reviews is to get under the influence of something or other and write some hilarious, punchy off-the-wall review. I've been meditating on what my Wild Root review should be (no pun intended) and I think trying to justify a zippy review for something so personal and important to me would be quite a stretch (again, no pun intended). I'll try something different and try to be honest. My yoga/philosophical/moral/pseudo-spiritual journies in life have been very rich at times and quite tumultuous at others. Lately in the midst of so many anxiety triggers and long overdue reflections I have been forced to think on what is important to me. Having a sense of community, dedicating time to myself and others and learning to respect myself and accept areas where I want to continue to develop have become a priority. Guess where all that culminates in? Yoga, bish. I'll save my Ted Talk on my personal journey for another day; however, three paragraphs in I kind of buried the lede. Wild Root stands out in not only reaffirming how transformative and powerful yoga has been in my life but also fostering itself as a studio that stands out and strongly is in line with my values and my sense of community. Practices as encompassing as yoga usually give some kind of visceral, gut reaction in people to have big opinions on what you should do, should believe, how you should attend, etc. In a lot of my previous experiences the rigidity of studios can be more restrictive than liberating to my practice and journey. Here it feels so much different. There is a sense of welcome and a freedom of expression. I don't have to micromanage my thoughts and justify my actions. I don't have to think at all... i can just breath and flow. I can feel comfortable failing and happy succeeding in my goals and feel good to practice here. In fact, it isn't even about the goals; rather it just is about being present. The staff is wonderful and welcoming. They provide a very keen sense of personability that makes me feel welcomed and not a nuisance. I always feel encouraged and excited to try classes. And the teachers all exhibit a wide range of styles and communications that are all different yet equally fantastic. The prices are very agreeable and the other practitioners are all so cool. It really has helped me to work on making myself better and being more encouraged to reach out and participate in communities. To reiterate, I cannot express enough how much I appreciate and value the staff. They have such a wonderful presence and trove of experience. I've gone so far as wanted to perform better in classes because of them and I deadass hate being told what to do or listen to authority figures. Things suck sometimes and there is a lot to concern about. It is very comforting to have one less thing to worry about or take some time to stop worrying and overthinking and just spend time in a great place with amazing people doing something I actually give a damn about.
Finding a place to settle into your practice and feeling welcomed is such an important part of yoga. I’ve been to several classes at Wild Root. Each teacher and experience has made me feel welcome. The space is designed with the attendee in mind. It’s very cozy in and out of the studio. I’ve recommended Wild Root classes to several friends and even managed to bring my boyfriend along for his first yoga class ever! (He loved it too!) while I practice primarily at home, when the mood strikes to join a group Wild Root is the place I look to first!
There is mindfulness and nice pleasant vibe in this new yoga studio. Great staff. Yoga instructors were part of yogasix (upper Arlington) group which is closed now. Friendly instructors yet professional. There are restrooms inside. Blocks, weights etc available for practice. It is one yoga studio inside. Surrounding area is calm, street parking available. My first class here gave me a relax-full, cozier and warm feeling. Their class schedules are well planned. For people who are looking for yoga classes then this is definitely a one to count on.
