Everything was spectacular except the massage. The massage therapist had long, ragged nails and he kept scratching me. It was also really more of a rub, no kneading. Disappointing. The facilities however are top tier. My husband and I went for our anniversary and had a wonderful day. I would try this place again but request a different massage therapist.
So relaxing, every bit of it. Staff are super friendly and do a great job! I wish I could go here every day ❤️ I got a massage and a pedicure.
We visited the Hyatt Regency for a Valentine's weekend, and I spent most of my time at Windflower Spa. The spa is a little dated but i think pretty nice. There was work being done at the spa (I think hvac) so they had relocated the massage/ facial rooms to the hotel which was fine, a short walk outside and the weather was great so it didn't matter. I scheduled a facial, followed by a full body massage. There were several people also receiving services. So the lady shows me around after I arrive and she points out the lockers, showers, hot tub, coed area, steam room, dry sauna, waiting room, dressing area, everything. What she didn't do is walk me over to the steam room entrance to see that there was a notice on the door stating it was out of order. She knew this, but said nothing. Ok, so no steam room, I can deal with that I guess. Next, there was no seating in the locker area or dressing area (where the sink and mirrors are). Ok, I guess I can stand and do my hair and make up. Minor inconveniences but still, with those prices I was assuming everything would be perfect. The outdoor area facing the golf course was comfy. Nice huge swings hanging from the huge oak tree. The pool area outside was good, had seating, hammocks, comfy. There were snacks, infused water, fresh fruit. My facial was very basic, lots of rubbing, no pore cleaning or massage, just rubbing. There also wasn't really wasn't a scent, like a calming scent in the room or a scent for the CBD items i paid for them to use in my facial. It felt good but not 215$ good, not even close. I spoke with my masseuse beforehand and let him know the area I needed deeeeep tissue massage. I don't know if he was scared to hurt me but I kept saying it's ok you can do it harder. I finally just stopped talking. It was nice, but not 265$ nice, not even close. I'm not trying to bash the spa but I think they can improve by reading not only my review but several others. I have traveled and visited spas around the country and Windflower was nice, but I think that for the quality of service, it's overpriced. In Texas, I'd rate several spas higher than this and they were not quite this expensive. Now you may think it's a money issue, but I'd pay double what I did if I knew I'd be getting a deeper tissue massage like I asked for plus use of all amenities (and all of them in working order) for the duration of my stay. I only could use the amenities day of, $20 charge for any other day of my stay which doesn't sound like much but at least let me know that the steam room isn't working! Did I mention the Q tips? I've bought cheap Q tips before but these must have cost .0001 cent for 50,000 of them! Worst Q tips I've ever used! Do not use the Q tips in your ear bcuz they are so flimsy they'll break right off. Just weird that a resort/spa would skimp on something like that.
The spa was awesome! It was so relaxing and peaceful. The massage was nice and I love how they use organic things when you have your facial. They have sauna, and jacuzzi in the lockers. They have a swing you can relax on outside the spa, and you have a view of some parts of the golf course, and a flower patch with butterflies and birds flying around. Aside from coffee and tea, wine and mimosas are complimentary.
I purchased a package deal on Groupon for this spa. I’d been to the hotel, but not yet the spa. The grounds are gorgeous with tons of tree cover for shade. The spa staff were warm & welcoming. They gave the quick tour & offered complimentary beverages, including mimosas. Our fave was the half OJ, half strawberry mimosa, it’s delicious! They have an outdoor pool for lounging or swimming laps. The pool has a lot of shade, not ideal if you’re looking to sunbathe. There are a good number of fun chairs, hammocks and the sort hanging around outdoor areas by the spa. Their gift shop is extraordinary with various price points. A few items available include swimwear, lounge clothing, dresses, jewelry and bath products. Inside the spa is a small jacuzzi, steam room & sauna. Services were done by seasoned professionals. The value is appropriate using the Groupon, otherwise, a bit high. Overall, I recommend & plan to return (using a Groupon).
