We had the shattering experience of having to put our beloved 13-year-old dog down completely unexpectedly. He was running in the dog park on Saturday morning, and six hours later was deathly ill due to the rupture of a tumor we didn’t even know about. The care given by everyone at this facility, especially the vet, was exemplary for both our dog and us. It was compassionate and competent. The dog was very quickly given pain medication and mild sedation and so he ended his life in comfort and not scared or in pain. Everything was well explained to us. We were kindly and carefully given all the information we needed to make a good decision, given ample time to grapple with the inevitable, and then were completely supported in that decision. It was one of the toughest nights of our life, but it could’ve been much worse if the people there hadn’t been as exceptional as they were. The facility itself is also well-designed, including having an exit from the euthanasia room directly to the parking lot so we didn’t have to walk crying through the waiting room. We have two other dogs, and if we have to face this scenario again, if we had time, we would bring them back to this facility. Although not planned, we like that we won’t be reminded of this evening every time we take the other dogs to their regular vet clinic. This must be such a difficult job for people who also love animals, and I am grateful that skilled vets like this are willing to continue to do it and to support us through our grief. It must be hard not to burn out, but thank you so much for sharing our burden and that of others. It really does make a difference.

This was one of the scariest situations I have ever had with one of my animals and the amazing people at WVRC made it tolerable. He received the best care. This amazing staff saved my boys life. I cant thank them all enough! Thank you all so much for your kindness! He is home with his puppy brothers, staying calm, sleeping soundly, eating well and most importantly, going to the bathroom 💙

Incredibly kind, sensitive, and caring staff on Christmas Eve evening visit. From the receptionist to the tech to the doctor and the discharge nurse, every single employee was a blessing. Efficient as well as effective, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. The staff and clinic made our stressful and emotional situation bearable. And our pup is happy and on her way to a full recovery just days later! ❤️

Our visit to WVRC Waukesha was five star. Everyone we dealt with starting with our inquiring phone call, to the techs, doctors and receptionist was very professional, knowledgeable and compassionate. All our questions were answered, acceptable options were given to us and we left feeling confident that we made good decisions for our dog. Our pup felt much better the next day after she received treatment there, and we will go back without hesitation if the need ever arises again. The team there is wonderful!

Absolutely AMAZING!! We have several cats, very well versed in vets, specialists & emergency rooms in area. That said, this will for sure be our new go-to, regardless of longer drive, 100% worth it. Stellar, efficient, impressive, appropriately priced, of course knowledgeable. Not to mention, the building is gorgeous! Wish we would have known about them years ago, LIFE changing!!!
