This was the most amazing dining experience! My husband and I came here as an impromptu date night. The pictures and reviews looked good, but I was not expecting this level of service, creativity, and presentation. The menu was very inventive, and you can truly see the passion the chef has put into each dish. And our server (I believe his name was Jamie or Jaime) really took the time to walk us through the menu and different dishes. His knowledge and kindness made the evening whole. The truffle miso soup was rich but soothing. The hot line crispy gyoza had flavors I wasn't expecting - the parmesan, micro greens, and garlic on top took it to a whole different level. My husband had the pepper fin. The quality of the fish was superb. It was somehow simple and rich at the same time. We had the crispy toro with ponzu gel. There were so many layers both physically and texturally. I think this was my favorite dish! For entrees we had wagyu mochi gnocchi, which was a very modern take on a classic dish. We also had the wagyu teriyaki - simply phenomenal. We already can't wait to come back to this restaurant.

A truly unique establishment in the North San Antonio, Dominion area. Painstakingly crafted Japanese dishes with a sashimi selection you are unlikely to find in many places stateside. I appreciated the unique approach to Karaage, a dish I enjoyed many a drunken night in various Izakayas. Definitely try the crispy Toro, or if you’re looking for something extra special, the Hokkaido scallop. Not to be outshined though are the mains. Both the Wagyu, and Sea Bass presented in a lovely bento style with various accompaniments. Super solid sake selection as well as a few select craft beers from popular Kyoto microbreweries. For you City Pop lovers, there’s an excellent Mcintosh vinyl listening setup. Maria Takeuchi, Anri, Miki Matsubara, and many other city pop favorites can be queued up by the dedicated staff for your listening pleasure, as well as many of your jazz standards and other western jazz vocal favorites. The quality and exclusivity of the ingredients as well as the atmosphere and wonderful staff make Yozora a must try.

This place was great. The food was delicious, the team members were friendly and the place was clean. Open kitchen allowed you to see the food being made and the presentation of the dishes were beautiful. You could even go to the record player and select what you wanted to hear.

Food was absolutely delicious. Creamy miso soup was so good. My daughter and just picked out a bunch of random things to try and we liked them all. I dont really think you can go wrong here. Alm was our server and she was excellent, super amiable and helpful. 100 percent will come here again when im in town. Vinyl is dope, wonder if you can request to have them switch to one you find.

My wife and I had a wonderful early date-night experience. The attention to detail to both the atmosphere and quality of food was exceptional. The unique style of vintage vinyl playing throughout was well enjoyed as well. Highly recommend!!!
