What a gem this place is! Better than all the overpriced/overhyped "omakase" places in dallas... they had real wasabi that they let me try too! On top of that, they are a no tipping default facility!
This place is a hidden gem - I came here with my boyfriend in April for the first time and we had one of the best omakase experiences ever! Great food & service. I’ve been thinking about this spot still - definitely need to come back.
I attended the Tuna Show at YUJO in November, and it ended up being one of the most unique and memorable dining experiences I’ve had in Dallas in a long time. Jordan, the chef, was mic’d up the entire time and walked us through every step—how the fish is broken down, the differences between each cut, and even some surprisingly cool insights about the knives and tools he uses. You don’t often get that level of access or transparency in a restaurant setting, and it elevated the entire experience. The tasting itself was superb. Every cut was intentional, perfectly prepared, and beautifully explained. You could tell they genuinely care about the craft and want people to walk away with a deeper appreciation for what they’re eating. Even though the event was fun and a little informal (which I actually liked) you could tell some people were mainly there for the food and the drinking. And hey, the sake options were excellent, so I get it but most of us were dialed in and really engaged with the show, the education, and the artistry behind it. The Sake kept pouring though, so plan for a long fun night with plenty of food (they went above and beyond to accommodate our love for tuna 🙏). I’m already looking forward to the salmon event and whatever other special experiences they put together next. If you’re into food, craftsmanship, or learning something new while enjoying a great night out, YUJO is absolutely worth it. Side note: we were worried that not sitting at the bar would hinder the experience- it didn’t. Don’t sweat it, the place is intimate enough that you can see from anywhere.
Absolutely incredible omakase experience! Yujo is a hidden gem in Dallas offering beautifully crafted sushi with high-quality ingredients and thoughtful presentation. Every course in the omakase was unique and well-balanced — you can really tell the chefs put a lot of care into their work. The atmosphere is intimate and elegant without being stuffy, and the staff was warm, knowledgeable, and made the whole evening feel special. If you're looking for an upscale sushi night that doesn't feel overly pretentious, this is it. Highly recommend for date nights, celebrations, or anyone who appreciates great sushi. I’ll definitely be back!
A very beautiful delicious omakase experience. We did the 16 course and enjoyed every bite. For sure pricey but nice for a special occasion dinner. Staff was friendly and attentive. A+ on the service.
