Date of visit: September 22nd 2025 I had high hopes after walking up to Neon Taco’s food truck and seeing two Latina ladies working as I anticipated an authentic experience. Unfortunately my visit to Neon Taco’s was a massive disappointment and a complete waste of money. I ordered the "Dirty" with ground beef. The beef had no depth of flavor and tasted completely flat. To make matters worse there was no fresh cilantro to brighten it up. The salsa provided was shockingly bad. It tasted worse than a jar of Pace Picante sauce you'd buy from Safeway. For $18 you expect fresh house-made salsas like pico de gallo or salsa verde not something that tastes like it came from a discount bin. The real kicker was the empanadas. I was told they were beef and cheese but the filling was a bland pasty substance that tasted more like beans. For another $16 this felt like a complete rip-off. Having enjoyed incredible $1 street tacos in Mexico City and San Miguel de Allende I know what good authentic food tastes like. The food at Neon Taco’s isn't even in the same universe. It's overpriced flavorless and frankly insulting to the customer. Tip for the food truck owner - try out El Chefe Taqueria in Calgary and your taste buds could hopefully get some inspiration. Save your money. BUYER BEWARE - BUYER BEWARE - BUYER BEWARE - BUYER BEWARE

We had neon tacos for our wedding reception, and they did an amazing job quickly assembling the tacos for the guests, and had a clear menu with ingredients for people to see ahead of time. The ladies assembling the tacos were very friendly and the guests were very satisfied with the quality and taste ! The portions were the right amount. Only a few people needed seconds, we are overall very pleased with this neon taco, and would recommend using YYC food trucks for any event as you won’t be disappointed!

Zero stars. I went to their food truck at Taste of Calgary - got 4 frozen fries with a single cheese curb for $7. I am from Montreal... the flavor was almost there but after 2 bites the remainder of my overpriced 3 bites went into the trash. Zero stars.

They got me with the old bait and switch! Do you want to try a sample of our chicken! Yeah, for sure! I’ll order the platter that comes with that! $19.00 later, I got two tablespoons of dried out chicken…and about 3.5-4 tablespoons of the two sides, with 3/4 of a small pita! Unreal. This wouldn’t even feed a toddler.

The dumpling hero was at a festival in kingsland today and the pork dumplings and the lobster dumplings were so yummy 🤤 My friend raved about them for a while so I’m glad I finally got to try them and they lived up to the hype 😋 Would definitely recommend getting them if you ever see them around 😄
