We used to go here all the time before. It used to be $5pp cover. Went this weekend and it’s shot up to $10pp, more games offline, and the previously delicious food is now just Costco frozen stuff smaller portions in a cardboard box. Even the ginger beer is somehow worse. Not going back. It’s a shame.
Looked nice and lively inside. Could see a good selection of games inside as well but it isn't mentioned anywhere on their website that the cover fee is cash only. Their atm had a large fee relative to the cover fee so we left out of principle and got drinks down the street. If you want to go it's fun just be sure to have cash!
Come here to say that I left my jacket the night before and the staff were very professional and were able to retrieve it for me. I met the manager who was really friendly. Despite what some of the reviews say that try to bring down an arcade bar with unlimited video game entertainment, there is no joy in some people that need to find fault with this concept of supporting an establishment..
My friends and I celebrated mine and my birthday twin’s birthday at Zed 80 and we had an absolute blast! 🥳🥳 The doorman/cashier (Micheal I think?) was incredibly kind and let both of us in for FREE since it was our birthdays, such a fun and unexpected surprise that set the tone for the night. The vibe inside is great… total retro arcade nostalgia with an energy that instantly puts you in a great mood. The unlimited play (“all-you-can-play”!) games made the whole experience even better, no tokens, no stress, just pure fun bouncing from machine to machine. And the food…. the poutine and jalapeño poppers were ridiculously delicious, way better than your typical bar snacks! Overall, such a fun spot for a birthday, a night out with friends, or anyone who loves retro gaming and good vibes. Highly recommend!
Great place to experience. The place only opens in the evening and the entry fee has increased from 5 to $10. I was told we were not allowed to bring any food or drink even water. The games are nostalgic and fun but not really very playable for long. You can stay inside as much as you want (kids only until 8 pm). Personally I enjoyed the pinball machines the most since they're more mechanical and I hadn't played them before.
