Toby and I are enjoying a very positive experience with the multiple trainers within the Zoom Room! Our 7 month membership offers a wide variety of fun, structured opportunities with step up advancements all along the way. I highly recommend this location!
I have a service puppy prospect that I’ve been struggling to owner train due to prices increasing so much from my first service dog 11 years ago (800$ to now 3,000$ just to show how much of an increase, it’s insane). In the meantime I knew I had to keep up with some sort of training even though it’s extremely difficult for me to be in public due to my PTSD. Zoom Room has been the best thing for me. And their trainers have gone above and beyond to try and help me and I finally feel that I’m going forward a little even though it’s not much. And their policies on positive reinforcement, meaning no prong, choke, or e-collars is a wonderful thing to see after many years as a veterinary technician and seeing how these things can seriously hurt your dog. So honestly there’s not enough stars I could give this Zoom Room and their trainers in particular. They have touched my heart and I would like to think I shall always remember them. Each of them is amazing in their own way and they absolutely will help you and your dog!
TLDR; If you have a high energy dog, a super smart dog, a dog who needs socialization, a dog who needs stimulation....this is the place to go for training. The unlimited plans are the best value for your money since you can try all the classes and go as often as your dog needs. A little background: We adopted Ronald in the spring. He had lived in a shelter his entire 2 years of life and we knew he was going to need training. When we got him he had problems with barking, mouthing, jumping, grabbing treats aggressively...basically he had no manners. We knew he needed training but it turns out we needed as much training as he did. (No hate to our local shelters they did great with him while he was there- he was well cared for and loved until he came home to us! He's just a high energy dog who needs a lot.) When we started training at Zoom Room we were overwhelmed to say the least. While all the other dogs did the tricks or commands immediately we were repeating ourselves and fighting with Ronald to obey. Sometimes we left class early because it was too much for both of us. We were frustrated, defeated and really wondering if we had made a mistake adopting him. From the beginning the Zoom Room trainers were patient, supportive and encouraging. They learned about his needs, behaviors and triggers along with us and have helped us manage each new thing one at a time. They always celebrate his wins no matter how small and have been great at reminding us how far he's come when we're getting discouraged. We've been going for about 6 months a few times a week and the pictures I attached are from our most recent class. He absolutely loves class and is excited whenever he realizes where we are going and after class he naps (which is such a blessing!). He has learned to take treats gently, he has learned about 20 tricks, he can do the agility courses mostly on his own and has graduated to advanced obedience. He absolutely loves all the trainers and so do we. Most importantly though, WE have learned so much from our Zoom Room classes! We have learned how to understand him, his boundaries and how to help him be the best dog he can be. We have learned to advocate for him. We have gained confidence in our ability to train him because we have learned to be clear in our requests. Like I said in the tldr- if you have a dog who needs training, this is the place to come. For the quality of the trainers and for the value you get in having unlimited classes.
A GREAT experience! Everyone I have met at Zoom Room so far is very friendly, patient, kind, and helpful - especially Sam. I am learning a lot about how to motivate my puppy to be a "good girl!" I recommend Zoom Room highly. Additionally, the unlimited plans are a great way for your dog to learn new skills and get socialized. Tilly LOVES her playgroup!
Such a great facility. Have been going for months and our dog learns something new every lesson. All instructors are incredibly friendly and educated. Especially Sam and Raven, they are amazing! Our dog loves the social events and parties zoom room throws for members each month. High recommend.
