Came on a Tuesday night. Cheesteak sandwich was in a word - delicious. Perfectly cooked. Great fresh bread. Provolone cheese was the perfect choice. Thanks Jordan! Next time I'll try it with bell peppers! If you're jonesin' for a great cheesesteak in Austin, look no further than R&B's Steak and Fries. It's on the east side of 6th street right next to the Grackle bar. Friendly service, great food ooo and yummy crinkle fries! 😋

This spot’s a hidden gem, the kind of place where you can sit back, vibe, and enjoy brunch any time the mood hits.
Visually the food is an A+… taste… yikes. I ordered food for pick up during the weeks so Maybe it was an off day, there are so many great reviews. So, I’m confused as to what happened with mine. You can clearly see pepper was used but maybe that was the only seasoning used? Cause it was BLAND. Super bland. The meat was just that… cooked meat. The bun tasted doughy. The fries were… cooked. *shrug* I don’t know how else to explain it other than they were flavorless. I ate it cause I was hungry and I paid for it. But honestly, I was so unsatisfied I should have tossed it.
Absolutely incredible! R&B Steak and Fries is a hidden gem in Austin that totally blew us away. The steak was cooked to perfection—juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. The staff was super friendly and made us feel right at home. You can tell they care about quality and service. Highly recommend it. We will definitely be coming back! Siblings Kris and Arman are the founders of R&B's. The two serve up authentic Philly Cheesesteak Hoagies and Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches. Philadelphia is known as the "City of Brotherly Love," and these brothers have got you covered. Amerosa rolls- check. Quality steak - check. Cheeses, oh yeah, American, provolone and of course whiz. Don't forget the peppers and onions. If you wanna give it a little ATX flair, add jalapeños (Kris loves it this way). R&B's also offers a regular steak sandwich and steak hoagie which you can customize with your choices of toppings. Fries are available on the side, and i recommend getting them with cheese, jalapeños and BBQ Sauce. The truck is located in a small food truck court just off of the corner of 6th and Comal Streets. There are tables all aroubd the trucks, including some in the shade. When you need some Philly love, head over to see them. You won't be sorry!
