I freaking love this place! Best sushi in town and its a good price too. The staff is always so kind and attentive. They remember my order and will refill my drink regularly before it gets even half gone. Their lunch specials are delicious and i love that the spicy rolls come with cucumber in them. I always get the 5 sushi lunch with a roll. The salmon nigiri is always so buttery and the two white fish are definitely the best with the addition of the toppings. For my roll ive gotten spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and spicy yellowtail. All delicious but my favorite is the yellowtail. Definitely recommend as I consider this one of my hidden gems.
We were in Arlington for a special event, was craving some Sushi, saw Umi on the list and wanted to give them a try, we stopped in right when it was opening, so it wasn’t quite busy or crowded. I’m not sure what was going on, but the restaurant was pretty hot and humid, so that wasn’t a great experience. Overall, the salmon tower didn’t taste well as we expected, didn’t have enough sauce/flavor, but the scallop dynamite was great. To give my honest opinion, would I go back, probably not, if there’s anything I critique, I would say, try getting the building back up and have the A/C unit up and running.
Truly a hidden gem. The atmosphere is cozy and calm with low lighting, perfect for a relaxed dinner. It’s never overcrowded, which makes every visit feel peaceful. The food is 10/10- fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service is always kind and attentive, and I absolutely love the honey iced green tea. It is divine 😊 it is a bit of a drive from home but worth the drive every single time. It’s also a little on the warmer side so be sure to wear cool clothing. Still rating 5 stars for everything else all around. I love it here and will continue coming back. Highly recommend!
I recently dined at Umi Sushi. and it was an incredible experience! All the food was exceptionally fresh and bursting with flavor. The sushi was expertly prepared, and every bite was a delight. From the vibrant sashimi to the creative rolls, each dish was a perfect balance of taste and presentation. The quality of the ingredients truly stood out. I highly recommend this place to any sushi lover—it's a must-visit!
This place is great value for your money. The service is very fast and friendly, and there have always been multiple chefs and waitresses even if the place has never been very busy. Affordable yet great quality nigiri for the more casual fish options. We know we can get our bellies full with good sushi without breaking the bank here. Hope they get more business because this is a great place in Arlington!
