Today I had the chance to attend a women's Personal Protection and Deescalation Workshop. I went in knowing that the instructor, Brandon Bennett was top notch and understood the importance of women's safety and ways to relieve their anxiety about protecting themselves. Let me start by saying how much I enjoyed his humor. I am not exactly a girly girl when it comes to off the beaten path humor but was so glad he made it a safe environment for it. My favorite part of the class was learning the technical things I can relay to my clients and the education around the cues to look for in a situation where safety as a woman is compromised. I have been to a similar class like this but in no way was it the same experience. I feel 10x more confident that I know what to do now as opposed to just being physical with a questionable person. Relentless Martial Arts is a place where you feel at home right away. I am encouraged by the fact that anyone is able to feel better leaving than arriving there. If you are a woman over 18, you need to come to this class. You get physical, but more importantly, you get your power back! I am so grateful my amazing man gifted me this class. It was well worth it for a beautiful Saturday afternoon.
My kids have trained at Relentless Martial Arts since the age of 5, first in the kids program until junior black belt, and then in the teens and Muay Thai programs. They are far more focused, organized, confident and conscientious than their peers, and I attribute most of that to growing up with Mr Bennett’s training. It isn’t all about character building either; my son now regularly fights in Muay Thai scrimmages and I have no worries about my daughter’s safety when she leaves home next year. To sum up, sending my kids to train at Relentless Martial Arts is one of the best things I ever did as a father.
Life changing experience. My son and I have been here one year so far and it has changed our lives. The confidence, courtesy and respect my son had taken on at the age of nine is a miracle in itself thanks to Relentless Martial Arts. Guru Bennett and the other teachers under him take extreme pride in teaching all who are willing to learn. Please come check it out. You won’t regret it!
Relentless is by far the best martial arts training my son has received in Tulsa. This is the third gym he's attended and I'm sure it will be the last. Guru Brandon is such a good teacher. He builds confidence in every student no matter how much or little experience they've had in athletic activities. And he has lots of great help too. The instructor to student ratio is fabulous; many times they work 1 on 1 even. And the students are having a lot of fun while they're building skills and empowerment.
I have trained at Relentless Martial Arts for over two years now. With out hesitation I would strongly recommend Relentless to anyone looking to develop themselves positively. Whether that be physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually. The Masterful Instructions, and amazing tribe, create an encouraging and supportive atmosphere. The skills and knowledge they offer, are life long tools. And can be applied in self-defense, as well as personal and professional success! They truly are “building better hero’s”!
