Great people at the gym, I had a financial crisis and they worked with me to find a compromise that was win win. Perfect gym if you like to do your own thing and have the space to go at your own pace. (Lots of equipment and bags to practice) Sparring is hard but not too intense (I've had my jaw knocked off it's hinge at other gyms, their sparring and commradery is way better for my level of experience) All in all, just be aware of what you're signing up for, if you sign up for a contract, they are going to charge you, so pick month to month if you're not ready for that. There's nothing shady going on, they are upfront about what to expect 👍🏻
Karina’s boxing class is phenomenal. She has patience for noobies and can give some good work to veterans of the boxing class. She has pretty good knowledge of building muscle and getting in better shape. Come check out Karina and the fine staff at South Austin Gym!
Friendliest staff and patrons. Everyone seems to be there to help and coach you along. Not once did I feel inadequate or out of place like I have at other gyms. There is always available equipment and classes almost every day so well worth the money. Highly recommend.
This gym is a really special place. I started personal training in 2014, and never stopped! I go 3x/week and I've never been in better health. Randy Palmer sets a high bar and tailors the workouts and guidance for individual needs. He's fair and generous, and the staff is very welcoming. Lots of equipment and spaces support many training options. It's never boring. Other long-time clients have become friends and have been there longer than I have.
I am so pleased with my experience so far with South Austin Gym. I appreciate the specific training and support I receive. Karina is my trainer and has developed plans specific to my needs. She's awesome!! After 3 months or so, I have less pain in my knees and more flexibility over all. And, I feel so much better!! And, everyone-- from staff to other members -- are so friendly and encouraging. This is definitely where I need to be!
