I would never take my grumpy little dog anywhere else when she needs after hours care. They have an open concept hospital so I can stay with her during her entire treatment. There is nothing worse than people you dont know taking your sick pet " to the back". I recommend this hospital to everyone I know and with a 14 year old pet I feel better knowing there is a hospital that we can trust to take care of her.
Such an amazing team of techs and doctors. We brought our cat in and the team immediately started treatment on her and did everything in their best effort to make her more comfortable. Specifically, the tech with curly dirty blonde hair was super sweet and so compassionate throughout our difficult time. The open concept layout was great and I think it’s important for you to know the amount of work and effort the team puts into your animal. We ended up having to put our sweet kitty down, but again the team was phenomenal - put us in a quiet, dimmed room with no rush to push us out the door. Cost was reasonable for an ER and was well communicated.
I can’t say enough about how incredible the team at VEG ER for Pets were at handling the horrible situation I brought them to handle with my sweet pup Lašká. When we arrived with her in meltdown crisis, they immediately went into go mode and it was all hands on deck to save her 😭. They quickly got me into a private room as they worked on Lash, were so compassionate and talked me through options, explained everything clearly, and stood with me in one of the hardest moments I’ve ever faced. I was unable to speak from crying so hard and they called my mother for me, helped me stay calm, all while caring for and treating my girl with tenderness and expertise. Their compassion, professionalism, and grace in handling every detail made a devastating situation navigable. They were strong without being cold, present without being intrusive, and truly kind without reservation. I would recommend them 1000% to anyone in the Bexar County who needs emergency vet services.
Thank you so much to Dr. Butros, Gabe and Aubra. You made me feel supported and made Molly a priority. She is already back to herself and it’s only been a day. The amount of new knowledge I have for Molly now will help me keep her healthy for her remaining years. You guys are truly a blessing to any pet owner that finds themselves in an emergency situation. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for getting Molly back to feeling good!
DVM (Dr. Eboni) and both vet techs (I think Fable? And the female vet tech, I don’t remember her name) but they were so efficient and treated my baby with so much kindness and dignity. I can’t thank them enough, I was freaking out on my way over thinking my baby was dying (she has a plethora) of health issues, but the bedside manner was top tier and helped relieve my anxiety. On top of that, they did everything right in front of me, which was so helpful for me and my baby. And bonus- their accessibility and payment options, they offer scratchpay, care credit and even Affirm! Thank you to the Veg team for your kindness 🫶🏼
