Great place to bowl & have fun. Nice people who work there! We go every Thursday and have done so for years. I highly recommend this Bowling Spot.
If I could put 0/5 stars I would. Last night, I went to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The bartender was unnecessarily rude. I asked for a drink, she said they didn’t have the right mix but she had something similar. Instead of kindly asking “how do I want it”, she had A attitude. Literally everytime one of our party members came up to the bar for food or drinks, she was staring like we were a bother. When it’s literally her job.Then the manager came over to our group & randomly said “it’s a birthday gift, it’s fine”. We asked what she meant & she went on saying it was “an empty bottle”..it was a Stanley cup. They said our party was rude, when they were literally rude every time for no reason. Once the birthday girl spoke up about how they were treating us, they threatened to call the cops.
What would have been a positive review and great experience, was ruined, the employee took great pleasure after he upset my 9 yo old neice. We requested bumpers as this was her first time bowling, he refused insisting "she is too tall"....too tall? I said she is only 9, and hasn't bowled before, and no taller than her classmates. After reading reviews I figured out the real reason he so rude and refused bumpers...we are a racially blended family. Several reviews by people of color share the same rude, disrespectful treatment by the employees. I get it now!
We paid $67 for 1 lane for 1 hour. By the time we got shoes, found a ball and a drink, we had lost 15 minutes of time already because they start the clock when you pay. Would not add time on clock. For 2 Jack and Cokes and 2 pudding shots was $45! Not even talking doubles! Staff was rude to my son and thought his ID was fake. He had to show 3 cards with his name to prove it was really him. Kitchen was closed so no food .. just very disappointed in service. While this alley was a little closer to what we were already doing, we will select differently next time. Couldn't even finish 1 game!
This place has been around since 1959 and is providing hours of entertainment for the whole family. Located just south of the Ward Parkway shopping center Ward at 89th and State line. Offering a variety of entertainment something for everyone in the family. My wife and I spent the evening playing pool in the bar while enjoying some reasonable priced adult beverages. A very comfortable and laid back environment that is quite welcoming. The bartender made sure we did get thirsty while we enjoyed our games. We didn't have any food on this trip but everything we saw coming out of the looked and smelled delicious. Recommended for the entire family.
