As a family that’s been visiting this location for several years, it’s really sad to see how it’s maintained as of late. We historically have made the longer trip to UA and avoided other trampoline parks due to the cleanliness, but the park has not been clean our last few trips. You can see the grime on the padding. The net on the side of the ball pit is completely disconnected from the floor, which negates the purpose of having it there and is quite a safety hazard. While I understand no one should be leaning on this to begin with and it’s common sense for adults, the writing on the floor that directs you not to lean on it is almost entirely faded. And lastly, myself and one of my children were stopped mid play and told we needed to go purchase urban air socks. Our socks said “urban air” on the top and bottom which were clearly shown. The employees response was “sorry my manager said you cant wear those here” and he led me to the front of the store where the manager was. Once I reached the counter the manager too looked at my socks and essentially told the employee he was an idiot and they clearly say “Urban Air” on them. Not only was that conversation between manager and employee rather unprofessional, the manager didn’t even bother to apologize for the situation. Not so much as a smile. She just looked at me as if I too couldn’t read. I struggle to understand why the employees can’t be expected to monitor the small children’s area and ensure no one over the height limit is running over smaller children (this is a long running issue), but they are taking the time to read everyone’s socks to ensure they’re not wearing competitor socks…If that $4 per person is desperately needed, simply raise your admission cost. Needless to say, this was probably our last trip to UA. We will be exploring the other indoor parks in the KC area moving forward.
On Monday, we experienced a very serious safety issue at the Overland Park Urban Air location involving my 5-year-old daughter. While she was in the designated area for younger children, several older boys entered a space they were not supposed to be in and physically restrained her and were poking at her while she was clearly distressed. Thankfully she was not injured, but the situation was extremely upsetting and should never happen in a supervised children’s facility. I’ve tried to contact management to address this directly and have not yet received a response, which is why I’m sharing this here — not to cause trouble, but to make sure this is taken seriously and doesn’t happen to another family. I truly hope Urban Air will review their supervision policies and take steps to better enforce age-appropriate play areas moving forward.
Really good place for young kids to burn off energy. Had the pleasure to talk to Jakhi in the Virtual reality area and he was very cool. The whole staff is super nice and helpful.
I love this place. Their virtual reality is really fun to play with my daughter. The employees are all really nice. Inara was especially helpful and nice while playing VR. Parents are half price. So, it’s not just for the littles.
Elijah made my daughter Ella, who was originally scared to go on the sky rider . Feel comfortable enough to want to ride it multiple times!! This kid Elijah is ahead of his time. The way he cared for my daughter with love and support was just adorable!! Give this guy a raise because he’s completely changed my point of view of trampoline parks and I will definitely be coming back. Thanks Elijah for the 10/10 experience, your mangers should be very proud.
