0% Recommendation I do not recommend this restaurant. The lady at the reception was very rude and misbehaved with customers. The delivery drivers were also extremely disrespectful and acted in an inhumane manner. Overall, very poor customer service.
We were looking for a place that was open late on a Sunday evening following an event at NJPAC. We also wanted both sushi and hibachi and Banzai met all those requirements (as the name suggests). It required an Uber from NJPAC but we were seated right away and everyone enjoyed both starters and mains. Really the only thing we would have liked would have been alcohol but we managed with water and soft drinks. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
Upon entering server told us we can sit anywhere, Good start. Then we sit and browse through the menu. We order an appetizer and a sushi plate to share with 2 entrees. The food was mediocre at best. The hibachi steak comes with onions, like 3 little mushroom pieces and WHITE rice unless you sub fried for an extra $4. (Thought fried rice was the standard.) the steak was chewy and hard, so they overcooked it and lacked any real juiciness. But my issue was with the bill. They add their own gratuity, Fine. But I was charged almost an extra unauthorized $3. I know it might not be a large amount to anyone but with an already high bill there was no need to tack on any more fees. Luckily I took a photo of the original final charge.
I would really recommend coming here!!Ive been to both locations and let me start off by saying how delicious the food is!!You can really tell how fresh everything is and the Service is amazing!! The waitress and workers were both very welcoming and kind.I would definitely come here again!! The prices are fair especially with the amount of food we get with our platter!!I recommend trying rolls from the fried and baked section it’s very tasty and booming with different kind of flavors!! My favorite is Ironbound, hot Philly and amazing.10/10 would recommend!! The video I put down you can see my takeout order that they were finishing up!
This is my first proper sushi place, and it was good. Like many of my Indian friends, I was skeptical about putting raw fish in my mouth. Coming out of this place, I had two revelations: Sushi comes with baked fish too and Sushi is edible, and it tastes good. The waitress was particularly great, I don't get all the bashing against the restaurant's service in other reviews. When we mentioned that we are first timers, she patiently answered our questions and was kind enough to suggest almost the entire dinner for us. Ordered Ironbound fried sushi, American dream sushi, Chicken Yakisoba, Chicken Udon, Teriyaki chicken and fried banana desert. Ironbound was deep fried and what the waitress considered spicy, and it was phenomenal. And the other dish that stood out was Chicken Udon. Do try this place, I will come back for more
