I’ve been attending Belfast Pilates for many years and Sonia, Gillian and the team are brilliant. Sonia’s physio led mat based classes are excellent. A great workout in a safe environment with Sonia taking time to understand all attendee needs and making adjustments as needed. This week Sonia kicked off the New Year with a weights based class. I loved it - so much that I did it twice! At a time when us women of a certain age are being told we need to do more resistance / weight based training, it was perfect. Having the option of different size weights meant it was suitable for everyone and with Sonia there tweaking positions and pushing us, I felt I got a great workout in a safe environment. I would love to see this as a recurring class.
Lower back pain all weekend although I do Pilates regularly I thought today maybe not a good plan but let’s go One class with Denise this morning and gone!! Absolutely recommend Gillian and Denise and indeed all the physio led Pilates I feel confident they are looking after my physical health as well as providing great classes Thank you
I’ve been attending Sonia’s class for many years, she is an exceptional Pilates teacher. She is knowledgeable, encouraging and deeply intuitive. Every class is transformative, blending precision with care. I feel stronger and more aligned and consistently inspired. Truly the best instructor I’ve had.
I’ve been doing Pilates for over three years after a recommendation from my brother, and it makes such a difference to my everyday life - I really notice the weeks I don’t do it. I have Multiple Sclerosis, so staying mobile and active for as long as possible is incredibly important. The physio support and classes have made a huge difference in helping me stay on my feet and as mobile as possible I also haven’t had a flair of back pain since starting! Gillian is great. She always helps me with anything I find difficult, but in a way that never draws attention. The classes are really well suited to my needs, with different options if something isn’t quite right for me. The classes highlight things I didn’t even realise I needed to work on, and physio helps either sort them out or keep them at bay. Between the Pilates and the Physio, I’ve noticed a big improvement in how I move and feel. The team here is second to none. I genuinely couldn’t recommend them more
I have been attending Sonia's classes for many years now and would highly recommend attending this Pilates class. Sonia is so bubbly and friendly and plans a new class for us every week, using loads of different pieces of equipment. She is acutely aware of individual needs within the class so I feel in safe hands with Sonia. I always enjoy the classes and they keep me strong and mobile. If I can't attend on a particular day, it's so easy to find another class to suit. Everyone should do Pilates for mobility and strength and these are excellent classes.
