I needed to purchase some equipment for my boyfriend’s annual snow trip and I came to this location specifically because of their high rating. You would think in such a nice town you wouldn’t encounter this, however while browsing in store, I had a mouse run across between my legs! I was taken aback but by this point I had noticed mouse traps scattered throughout the vicinity. I left immediately as I have high risk family members at home who can’t afford any illness due to the diseases the mice may carry. I will be taking my business elsewhere until this matter is resolved. Exterminators may be better than rat traps that give the store a bad image to begin with.
We rented 3 MTBs here and had excellent service. Great selection, and high end bikes available. Brian helped us and set up 2 Ibis and a Cannodale, set up suspension sag and we good to go. Highly recommend them, excellent service, good bikes , THE place to rent from! We will be back every time we visit this area.
Came in on a Thursday around 6:30 pm with a friend and Joey greeted us within a few minutes of us looking at ski boots. He offered to help us pick out ski gear and ended up spending almost two hours doing boot fitting and helping me choose skis/ski poles. This was my first ski purchase, and he made the whole process feel super easy with zero pressure. He even stayed past closing to see it through. Joey was patient, knowledgeable, and really easy to talk to. He was also training someone at the same time and handled it so well - you can tell he really knows his stuff and cares about helping customers. Really appreciate the awesome service — highly recommend asking for Joey next time you’re at Sports Basement looking for new ski gear!
Had a great experience getting our seasonal ski lease with Lucas Sunday. He spent a lot of time explaining to my 12 and 15-year-old kids the importance of tight fitting boots for control, and walked them through the risks of getting too big of a boot. He provided multiple options for them to try, and was patient through all of their questions really appreciate the time he spent, and the expertise that he shared during our visit. We had gone to the newly opened Almaden store earlier in the day, and the ski staff was nowhere near as experienced as the team in Campbell. Definitely gonna keep going to Campbell when I need expertise. Thanks again, Lucas!
The store vibe is quite relaxing. The staffs are very helpful. It's impressive they keep the size selection of clothes very organized. I went in for a pair of the Northface ski pants. You can see the different sizes from short , regular and long clearly labeled at the hangers. You don't even get that at the brand's store in the big malls these days. You can score some good buys when you run into their promotions too.
