Yup, it is that good. Great food and great service! Delicious pies. Tiramisu is such a good treat. I’ll be coming back for sure.
The pizza is huge and amazing! The crust is perfect and the toppings stick well to the pizza and dont slide off easily. Every bite is a delight. I would come back for more!
First visit and we’re blown away. Great service and quality pizza. True to NY style pizza and flavor is not a miss. Had the carnivore pie that served our family of 5 and a slice of Margherita to try with a couple of slices leftover. Thin but strong enough to hold everything even though you could roll it up and eat it. The crust is crunch and flaky like a baguette. There’s a couple tables inside if you wanted to sit down and eat a slice they had some ready in a hot case. Was able to order, go get groceries, and then have the pizza ready. Will definitely be back again.
This review like all the others will be 5 stars if the staff is nice, the place is clean and the food is decent. Read the review to get all the details! This will not be as detailed as my burger reviews but I love pizza just as much… just so happens that pizza in San Diego is mid. Been wanting to try out this spot for a long time now. Just hard when one of my favorite slices is a couple minutes down the street. So I stopped in and the guys were doing their thing hands covered in dough and slaving infront of a hot pizza oven. I don’t remember the name of the specialty slice but it was very flavorful! One of the better slices I’ve had in SD. Feel like the slices were a little dried out from their time sitting waiting on me lol but I could tell fresh from a whole pie they’d be freaking fire. So my review will be based on that … not the lack of slice business in the area. They were cranking out the whole pies! Cheese 7.9 Specialty slice 7.7 Really good stuff and I will be stopping by again soon!
I finally went to The Pizza Standard, delicious! For my first visit I ordered a hot Italian sausage and mushroom pizza. The pizza had so much flavor, and had a bit of a kick too! The crust had that nice crunch that I look for in a great NY style pizza. The customer service was excellent as well. Sam was friendly and helpful. I can't wait to come back and try another pie, there are many toppings to mix and match. If you are looking for a high quality pizza, The Pizza Standard is a MUST try. Eat up!!!
