Very disappointing experience! I planned a family weekend out in Adelaide. The highlight for me and my son was going fishing. I booked 9h charter with Go Get'Em, paid a deposit and once booking was confirmed paid the full amount (as per their instruction you can either pay by bank transfer before charter, or cash on the day). On 4pm the day before the booked date I received a call from the skipper Tom advising me that a group of 3-4 people who were booked on the same charter can't make it and decided to re-schedule. He asked me if I could schedule for the following day. As we were in Adelaide area only for the weekend it was not an option for us. After 30min he called again and advised that he has to cancel as it does not make sense for him to take just 2 people. Our weekend was ruined. I understand that he'll not make any money taking just 2 people. But the problem is that their booking policy is flawed. Deposit required is only $50 per person and the remaining balance of $300 can be paid on the day. Obviously that encourages people to cancel at the last moment. I did some fishing charters before and most (if not all of them) required a full payment in advance (usually 7-14 days) so people are discouraged from cancelling last minute. Tom decide to accommodate the needs of the bigger group (they wanted to reschedule) but ruined the weekend for me and my son. There was also a bit of a problem to get my money back. I received them only after 7 days. Excuses like phone lost all data, etc. were used. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
I originally searched reviews for a quality fishing experience in South Australia. Go Get Em had great reviews so I gave them a shot with my family and friends. The reviews aren’t lying. We all had fantastic day! Just wish we brought more eski’s. Tom the skipper is such a character and a true legend of one of SA’s hottest fishing areas. I will definitely be back for more.
A great day on the water, taking home a heap of fish in tough conditions. Skipper Tom kept finding the fish and made it a very enjoyable day for me and my two lads. Thank you Go Get Em Charters - looking forward to the next one 👌👌
Had a great day with Skipper Tom. It was a fun day with just our group on board. Tom was happy to find the best areas to catch our fish.
Awesome Experience!! My partner brought my father and i a Voucher for Christmas to do some deep sea tuna fishing and boy did we get some Tuna! Couldn't fault anything. Great customer service, kind and helpful on the phone,Toms Expertise on the waters and overall great bunch of lads doing what they love. Everyone was Eager to give a helping hand through out the whole day. Skipper Tom was very professional and a great laugh. Thanks Tom ill be back again.
