This is a wine shop, not a Bourbon shop. :) But they have a small but mighty Bourbon wall. Their barrel pick was really good. Nice staff. More expensive than Total Wine, but a nicer experience.

Conveniently located store with knowledgeable staff but Highly overpriced! Will not be coming here again, that's for sure.
I rarely give bad reviews. At times, I even avoid leaving a less than 5 star review for businesses that have 4.7 star ratings or higher since I do not want to hurt their business. But I am compelled to leave a 1 star review since the wines that were recommended to me were very disappointing. And I consider myself a decent wine drinker who spends on average $50-70 on a bottle. Instead of going to Total Wines, I decided to try Houston Wine Merchant. I met with a salesperson (will not mention his name since I do not wish to harm his job) who gave me recommendations for Cabernet Sauvignons. I bought 3 bottles for $70 each. I also bought a bottle of Chardonnay and a bottle of Billecart Salmon champagne for my uncle’s Bday party. I was pretty disappointed with all 3 bottles of read- and so were my guests. The Chardonnay was ok for the price. The Billecart Salmon is one of my go to champagne so I chose that myself and it was not disappointing. For a $70 bottle of wine, it should be very good not disappointing. One bottle had peaked and was declining. Another bottle was just sour. And the 3rd one had zero body. Your wines are quite overpriced. I recommend anyone coming here to google the cost and quality of the wine that are sold here before buying. Safe to say, I will not be returning.
Some of the best customer service, without a doubt. Emails were responded to promptly and professionally. You really feel like they want your business and will take care of you. Would highly recommend.
