Siriji’s small group classes are just what the doctor ordered. Small enough to get the attention and instruction you need to get strong and stay safe without the price tag of a private lesson. Workouts are thorough and intense but she will tailor them to your body if needed. She knows how to work with injuries and really understands body mechanics and brain/body connection. With Siriji’s encouragement I have gotten so much stronger doing just once a week classes. The space is clean and light, very good positive vibe, not douchey in any way (I avoided gyms for years because of this), and welcoming to all regardless of size, age, race, gender, sexuality, or fitness level. I’ve loved my experience at Temescal Movement and Fitness!

Siriji is an amazing trainer who uses her deep knowledge and creativity to help clients from any stage reach their fitness goals. She has been more helpful than many of the physical therapists I have seen at helping to create strength and stability in my arthritic knee. Her careful attention to the details of each movement is greatly appreciated.
Siriji is a thoughtful trainer who is attentive to reaching your goals however big or small. She is a person who cares about her clients and will go the extra mile to get you where you want to go. She will push you hard because she knows you can go harder. She loves fitness and is full of knowledge. I always have the best workouts with her.
This gym in Oakland is such a welcome addition to the neighborhood. It's accessible, clean, spacious and has a real community feel. All bodies, all ages, all fitness levels are welcome. Fitness is about health and I feel like I'm healthier every time I come to Temescal Fitness & Movement. The owner, Siriji Lamenzo has made a big difference for me and my fitness routine and goals. She is extremely knowledgeable, as well as caring and compassionate, so I feel so empowered when I work out here with her.
