Touchstone Gallery : le lieu d'accueil convivial de DC pour l'art local et la conversation.
Touchstone Gallery, située au 901 New York Ave NW, Washington, DC 20001, se trouve à quelques pas du DC History Center, à l'intérieur de la Carnegie Library, et à une courte distance du Metro Center. Cette galerie à entrée libre et fondée sur l'adhésion présente des œuvres d'art locales dans deux pièces couvrant divers médias. Les visiteurs louent le personnel sympathique, des curateurs engagés (un groupe intéressant de femmes plus âgées) et des conversations animées, ainsi que les ouvertures du deuxième vendredi.

Touchstone Gallery is such a wonderful place to visit! Originally I was here to visit my art teacher and her beautiful work, but I met so many talented artists showcasing their work as well, and it’s amazing how open and friendly they are to talk to. It’s super convenient to get to since it’s just a short, easy walk from Metro Center. Definitely worth a visit if you love art and good conversation!
Beautiful. Just beautiful. Was here for a friend’s baby-shower. They also have artwork by Korean artists. Am a fan!
What tourists sometimes miss are the many smaller art galleries throughout the city like Touchstone Gallery. Steps away from the DC History Center inside the Carnegie Library is a small local gallery. It's free to enter and the staff are very nice. Two rooms are filled with art of different kinds. They also have a restroom and a drinking fountain.
Touchstone Gallery is a great art gallery with a collection of artists. The curators are a very interesting group of older women who are fun to talk with about the art and the artists. They will let you browse also without being overbearing. Fun place to visit to look at art especially if you're in the market for pieces to go in your home.
What a great surprise. A members based gallery also featuring other local artists. I was greatly impressed with the wide range of themes, mediums and styles of this eclectic group of artists. I had a pleasure speaking with the staff and look forward to returning for their 2nd Friday monthly gallery openings. Stop in for a look and spark up a conversation to learn more about this great D.C artists hub.
